From the manufacturer

Est.1997, Santa Monica Sands
Since 1997, we’ve been addicted to the Golden State’s laidback, playful way of life. The cliff-lined beaches, the mountain trails, the breezy boardwalks. The year-round sunshine that inspires endless adventures and a unique, life’s-for-living attitude. And, of course, the casual-chic style that defines the Southern Californian look.
It's why we created Rocket Dog. We wanted to make women's shoes that radiated the SoCal spirit. Which meant fusing dawn-till-dusk comfort with fun, vibrant, and edgy design. Like the typical Californian girl, we take global trends and make them our own. This gives every style a refreshing individuality, whilst staying directly on the pulse.
While trends change with every season, our dedication to injecting the SoCal Spirit into every style remains the same.

Box Fresh ComfortWe want our shoes to offer you unbeatable all day comfort, so we’ve created an inlay that’s so incredibly soft, it feels as though you’re walking on clouds. Our Plush Zone technology combines a generous 7mm of memory foam with 2mm of EVA to create an inlay like no other. It’s deep, it’s soft, and it’s luxuriously cushioned, offering exceptional comfort with every single step. |
Playful StylingWe believe that life’s for living, so we inject playfulness into all the products we produce from our summer sandals and flip flips to our tall boots and slippers. This youthful attitude is typical of Southern California. Which is why every style we create celebrates our playful attitude by fusing all-day comfort with fun, vibrant and distinctive designs. |
Proudly OriginalWe're known for our imaginative prints, platform flip-flops, and rainbow wedges. These original styles define our individuality, ensuring we're always on the pulse, but in an off-beat Rocket Dog kinda way. |
How to find the right shoe size for you
|
|
|
|
---|---|---|---|
Why is this important?Every shoe manufacturer uses different lasts in terms of instep height, toe shape and foot width. However, the basis for finding your own shoe size is always the length of your feet. Thus, you should always determine your foot length before buying in order to choose the right shoe. |
Step 1: tracing your feetTake off your socks, place a piece of paper against a wall, and place your foot on it so that your heel touches the wall. Now use a pen to trace the shape of the foot on the front of the toes. Hold the pen exactly upright. Important: Both feet must be measured, as they are often of different lengths! Feet often swell during the day, which is why we recommend taking the measurement in the late afternoon. |
Step 2: measure and addNow you can measure the edge of the paper from where the heel was to the longest toe and determine the length of your foot. Use your longer foot as a guidance. You get the required inner length of the shoe by adding an extra of 0.4 inch to your foot length. |
Step 3: Look it up in the shoe size tableOur shoe size table helps you convert your own foot measurements into manufacturer sizes in order to make the right choice. |

Having had 3 pairs of Rocket Dogs previously (1x sandals, 2x flip-flops), all of which were classed as size 8 and did fit my size 8 feet perfectly, I ordered with confidence, only to be shocked to find a simply enormous pair of shoes, way, way bigger than a women's 8...my feet are already big enough but let me tell you I looked like Coco the Clown in these 🤡
My partner has men's size 10 feet and he was able to almost confortably get them on his feet, for god's sake!!!
Really annoys me when companies don't have consistent sizing and the customer ends up having to fork out for the return delivery.
BOTH THE MANUFACTURER AND THE SELLER SHOULD DO SOMETING ABOUT THIS, IT'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH.
The sole however is very thin so gravelled, bumpy stoney paths may prove painful if not traversed carefully! Smooth pathways are fine, making these ‘town shoes’.
The thin sole also wears out rather quickly so these pumps don’t last as long as your average shoe but if you can bag a pair at the right price then I don’t think that matters.
