Roamers CALLUM Mens Twin Zip Leather Warm Ankle Boots Black
In a stylish and strong modern look, these leather ankle boots from Roamers can take on the world. The thick grip sole can hold well to most surfaces, and the lining will keep you warm. They fasten easily to your foot using twin side zips leading up to a padded ankle. They're great with casual attire and can even fit certain formal settings.
Sole: TPR Rubber Grip

Quality wise they're okay. Nothing outstanding. The pic is a bit misleading. It looks like they're a really thick full-grain leather. They're not. The leather is a fairly average thickness shoe leather. Perfectly acceptable at this price point. The soles are decent, not too soft. Looks like they'll last reasonably well in ordinary, everyday use.
There's one major irritatant that really gets under my skin. The flap under the zip is made of leatherette. I simply cannot understand why manufactures use cheapskate tricks like this to save, quite literally, just a few pennies. It's such a small piece what possible difference can it make to their price point and profitably. Bloody annoying.
I think they're a little bit overpriced for what they are. £30.00 would be a fairer price to my mind.
boots before and all seemed well at the start, as these do. But the sole wears very quickly at the back, so I use segs to counter that problem. I think it may be the way they are manufactured but the sole can also come off after boots get wet a few times, as someone who worked in the shoe trade, I think there is a possibility that they are not combining the glue with a binder solution, this increases the bond of the glue. It's not just these boots that it has happened to me, plenty have, where I need boots again after less then 6 months. If you have read this I will update in a few months, if these are the same.
But they are waterproof and warm.
