Great acting, thought-provoking in places, but overall nonsense

Acting is absolutely unbelievable. But sadly the script is terrible, the plot is terrible. The ending gives some romantic notion of lucidity in someone with advanced dementia. An extra star was given because it is thought-provoking at times, particularly around 'chasing the good times' at the expense of stability, which can lead to eventual disaster. I feel they could have summed it all up in about 10 minutes rather than expensive over-the-top drawn-out scenes.

Desperately sad, humanity at its most vulnerable.

The acting is brilliant. All the characters are surviving as best as they can.
Compassion, bitterness, vulnerability, kindness, ignorance, helplessness, weakness. Everything is in this film. It haunts long after watching.

Boring

Boring. Over-acted. Badly written. No real story as such. Couldn't feel any sympathy for the characters, despite the awful situation, due the aforementioned points.
