I have read other reviews criticising the directing and acting. I noticed nothing of what they have written. The acting was very believable. I have witnessed that kind of pain and the acting was very convincing. Perhaps the reviewers have never seen a Chinese woman in pain or do not understand their culture. Or maybe I found the storyline so engrossing, I did not notice the bad production. Whatever it may be, it is a film to be seen.

Taye Diggs was amazing. He is a very good actor so I was not surprised at how good he was. I liked the mix of Chines language. It was fresh.

John Cusack was John Cusack. George Lopez was George Lopez though unfortunately this one was not a comedy :)

One thing that struck me though was the ill fitting clothes and bad grooming of the deputies. Is that a thing in south?

The story is not new. Those kinds of killings are a common occurrence in America and everywhere in the world. Police plant evidence to cover their mistakes. Only very few are noble enough to face up to their mistakes when they make them. Some actually feel justified and rationalise that the killing prevented some "future" crime. The producers did a good job bringing the theme together.

I will stop so I do not give away the rest of the story.

It is a good one to watch.

don't bother

This was utter rubbish. Script, acting and production were sub-par tv movie. John Cusack was obviously there to give it some credibility but he phoned in his performance

Very enjoyable movie.

Thought provoking movie especially in these BLM times and all the debate about cops being racist and violent towards the black community. Sad ending as there was no taped or corroborated evidence from either of the two killed cops that they had planted the guns when they shot both sons in cold blood. Would make a good training movie for all rookie cops to watch and make them always 100% challenge all forms of negative stereotyping. There are good and bad in all communities !

Started out so well

With such a gripping start, i put it on pause, went to the kitchen, grabbed a bottle of wine, a loaf of bread, and pot of chocolate spread. I returned to get settled in for, what was going to be a thrilling 90 minutes, only to be let down by the worst plot ever. Honestly. It could've been so much better. Don't waste your time.

Racist comments don't cut it

Racist comment in first 5 minutes was enough for me. I k ow it's reality but not mine. I want entertainment not politics. Shouldn't expected better with the cast though.

Better Direction watchable
Verified purchase
Rather erratically made, but overall a good subject and marriage Chinese and black and white a Mexican is useful - Based on so many recent incidents in the USA and around the globe.

Would you die if you have a lovely wife? watchable overall, not so gripping
