Think original Pitch Black: with bounty hunters. (If you haven't seen it, reccomend you start there, skip the sequel, and go straight to this one -sequel is fun, but a three star effort). This watches like a good graphic novel: atmospheric with a well thought out story, characters sketched with a very broad brush, and quite a few fun moments. A great popcorn flick which asks no more than to be enjoyed.

Very like Pitch Black.

As others have said Vin Diesel is great at being Vin Diesel. Some of the plot twists did seem a tad too far fetched. Thousands of top predator life forms on a barren planet? Get a biologist or two on your script writing team next time.

Still if you don't think too much about it and just enjoy it for what it is then it's worth a box of popcorn.

Perfectly good film, but annoying the cover was not in English obviously an import but apart from that fine, delivery was within the time slot so no complaints

Good film that ties 1 & 2 together

A good film and it feels more like the original than the 2nd film. The extended cut adds some degree of closure to the 2nd film.

I was looking forward to this , but was nodding off halfway through .
A generic Alien lifeform , about as creepy as a house spider ,
A pleasant digital dog , killed off too soon ,
Vin diesal being Vin Diesal , a pretty bland script ,
Katee Sackoff briefly displaying left boob , along with little acting talent .
