Heartbreakingly fabulous film

This is one of the best films I have ever seen and an important one. Jesse Eisenberg and the cast are
brilliant as is the direction, script, music and cinematography. I found myself holding my breath throughout. It is truly a masterpiece.

Can you believe that a a reputable distributor would not include subtitles on a Blu-Ray?
No, I can't either.
The American region A disc has subtitles. A different distributor.

This film depicts the horrors of human suffering, in the time of adversity and despair. The film is based on situations and actualities which took place. Realistic and chilling -nail biting - atmospheric throughout. We bought a copy for our library.

Great video telling an amazing true story.

I don’t watch video about WW2 unless it’s based on a true story as I’m not a great fan of fiction.
This story once again shows the cruel and terrifying events that many ordinary people had to suffer during the evil period that the Nazis held people under their control. The bravery of Marcel and his co resistance colleagues showed getting so many Jewish orphans to a safe haven.
It’s thought provoking and should make people think of our current situation and how the grip of power over a population can quickly escalate.

This is film making and acting at its best. Jesse Eisenberg is superb in the leading role. The direction, composition and script are first class. All the actors in this film gave an incredible performance. It is a harrowing film to watch at times because of the content but it is also uplifting and relevant. A piece of history that I was unaware of regarding the main character. Where was this film in the Oscars? RJC.

Heart wrenching and heart warming all in one film. What those poor children went through was horrendous. Brilliant portrayal. Enjoyed every minute watching it.

Didn't play

I ordered this as a Xmas present. When my husband tried to play it we just had a black screen. I contacted the company who quickly dispatched a second one. Unfortunately this one was exactly the same. It has been tried on 3 blu ray players and it doesn't work on any. I have now received a full refund.

Well I didn’t get very far into this film. It just carried on like a day on the life of Marcel Marceau, but it never picked up. The blu ray though, did not have any subtitles which I thought was very disappointing.
