Well no, as it’s not until you get them and realise that initial looks aren’t everything and there is a reason they were £24.99..
The fit is quite narrow for me but the length has room to spare had I could have possibly gone down half a size from my (uk 10) so for those with narrow feet a half size down may be the best fit. They feel slightly bouncy at first due to the foam insoles and they are actually quite comfortable. It’s not until you feel the sole itself and find that it’s quite soft rubber that is thin and not so hard wearing that they start to disappoint. The finish overall, isn’t what I would have expected from my old friend Puma as the mock synthetic leather looks cheap and sadly uninspiring.
Now, for 25 quid I can’t complain too much as they are actually cheaper than I was paying 30 years ago. That said, they look and feel considerably cheaper than they did back then and I doubt they would survive the daily after school kick about for as long as they once did either.. On balance I wouldn’t pay more for what is now a disappointing trainer, but they’ll pass for casual use.
