Entertaining sequel

Anything starring Mark Ruffalo is good enough for me. This is a quite entertaining follow-up to Now You See Me but not as good. The problem is you've already had the big reveal of who Dylan Rhodes really is at the end of NYSM and there's nothing that really carries the same punch in the second one. I read a review which said it's not as clever as it thinks it is and I'd probably agree with that. I will be watching the third one, however, when they finally get round to making it, which apparently will co-star Benedict Cumberbatch - the ubiquitous British baddie, presumably.

Fast paced polished Hollywood production, with a first rate cast...... so why is this such a bad film? Basically it's the plot. This film is plot hole central, you can only pull of twists if the audience comes away saying 'OMG, yes I see it now' not 'FFS'. The suspension of disbelief required was beyond me, and I've got a pretty low bar!

A very boring sequel, it's embarrassing.

Very weak sequel. Sometimes I felt like watching Oceans 11 again, sometimes I felt like watching bit of Matrix. It just no plots at all. It heavily rely on oriental investment and special effects. I am so embarrassed to watch any Hollywood made movie with all those Chinese product placements in it that purely for the commercial reasons.

Brilliant sequel!

I think anyone who doubts this to be as good as the first are hung up on the idea os better sequels. These people need to broaden their horizon a little. What a great movie, the concepts are deeper and instead of the 'Horsemen' being these excellent magicians who can accomplish anything, they actually have vulnerabilities and are still learning. Without sounding to much like a criticising nerd, just watch it! Fantastic!

Oceans Eleven but with magic, enjoy yourself

So it's not as good as the first, it fell on it's own weight I feel, rather than going in the more grounded route it decided to blow up everything to unbelievable reason. It's still a fun film to watch if you enjoy the characters but remove the magic tricks and you've got a watered down version of oceans eleven

Milkin the cash cow .
Can't stand to see Morgan Freeman as the good guy especially when the first movie showed him as a sleazy character.
