Great cushioning for low profile runner but the upper leaves a lot to be desired

I have ran in most versions of the Zante. I am a sub 17 min 5 km runner. I need something that is low profile, light, nimble with a bit of cushion. I cannot run in racing flats or firm shoes. When I came across the first version of the Zante I thought I was in heaven. That was one of my all time favourite shoes. Version 2 &3 were ordinary and V4 was a great update but nothing like V1. Along came the Zante Pursuit and I thought I would continue with this line up.

My first impression was the lack of structure to the upper. I hate that they have gone this way. Running on anything but a totally flat surface I feel very uneasy on my feet. The pursuit seems slimmer and tighter but although the endless stretch accommodates my foot, it does not support it one bit. My feet have never ached in shoes until I wore these. I had to tie the laces fairly tightly to try and keep my foot supported. Even still, the way they have re-designed the heel meant it was slipping around despite the laces at the top eyelet putting uncomfortable pressure on the top of my foot.

The worst part is the feeling you get when you raise your toes and it just streeeeeeeeeeetches. I have to think what is actually supporting my foot? Landing at an angle my feet slip side to side. The second they get slightly sweaty the insole will start to slip around inside the shoe. Therefore you can forget wearing these on a rainy day (or any day you hope to raise a sweat really). It's a shame because what I do love is the level of cushion for a lightweight trainer/racer - its the least amount that I can bare and it feels super fast. I can't help but think where this shoe could have gone. Alas I sit here seeing where the Zante lineup has gone - straight to the back of my cupboard!!

Upper prodigioso, lo mejor que he probado, con ajuste sublime arco y antepie. Amortiguación muy buena para el tipo de zapatilla que es (aterrizo de medio pie), y se nota al variar el apoyo a puntera o talón la protección que ofrece. Suela con muy buen agarre en tierra y cemento, asfalto sin golpeteos. El rocker genial y al sprint la punta de la suela aprieta hasta el final de la impulsión sin resbalar. Peso 78 kg y la utilizo para interval, fartlek, repeticiones, etc, esos dias que necesitas trotar y dar cera en la misma sesión. También, como no, para competición hasta medio maratón. Para distancias más largas, pienso que necesito un poco más. Resumiendo, zapatillón (mucho mejor que la V3 que ya era muy buena o que la freedom iso de saucony).

Great priced option for speed / shorter running

Great light snug shoe for speed / shorter runs. Doesnt have much stability and are quite tight fitting for speed runs. I kind of felt these were too narrow for my wide feet, especially the toe box and mid foot area. Would recommend it only for speed and shorter runs. These arent cushioned shoes.

Newer better versions are available now. The price is right for the purpose. These arent daily wear shoes but are made for specific running purpose in mind. Would recommend these if you are not a forefoot striker. Definitely not for heel strikers, especially on a hard surface.

La mejor alternativa a las Adidas Boston, son Perfectas, había utilizado las zante v3 y en este modelo han mejorado significativamente. Muy cómodas, buena amortiguación para mi peso (70kg), bastante reactivas y se adaptan muy bien a ritmos fuertes, opción más que recomendable para no gastarse un dineral en las Adidas Boston si las quieres para competicion.

El número es el correcto, en cuanto a largo, pero es una zapatilla mas estrecha de lo que esperaba, venia de unas Saucony Kinvara que tiene una horma mas ancha. Lo bueno es que no aprieta al tener un Upper muy flexible como un calcetin. Pero lo que es la suela si tienes pie un poco ancho sobresale mucho, por tanto tienes muy poca estabilidad por parte de la zapatilla.

Da ich mit dem Zante V3 recht zufrieden war, bin ich beim Zante Pursuit gelandet.
Grundsätzlich ist der Schuh sehr gut, kann aber Langzeit nur von leichten Läufern benutzt werden.
Läufer der Klasse 90-100kg finden nach ein paar Monaten keinen Halt oder können den Schuh nicht fest genug schnüren (das sockenartige Material leiert halt aus).
Spätestens nach mehren Monaten kommt das Ende, der Fuß krampft haltlos in der Socke herum.
New Balance hat da noch einiges zu lernen. Nike kann das aktuell deutlich besser.

Dieser Schuh ist im Mittelfußbereich nicht ganz so breit, für meinen Fuß allerdings genau richtig. Las utilizo para salir 3 o 4 veces a la semana a correr unos 5km, son cómodas y flexibles y me amortiguan bien, yo peso unos 68 kg, el "upper" es como un calcetín y se adapta muy bien al pié, las zapatillas son mas bien estrechas, aunque en mi caso no tengo problemas con ello y respecto al número, yo habitualmente calzo un 40-41, compré inicialmente un 40,5 y tuve que devolverlas y comprar un número mas alto un 41,5 y ahora me van bien
