I normally always went with Asics, but I'm so glad I tried this shoe out. I'm 6'3 and 235 so I need a sturdy shoe. I usually run at least 4 miles 5 times a week and this shoe has not only held up, but it has been great for my knees, lower back and ankles. Couldn't be more pleased. I will replace these with the next generation when the time comes

I do sprint triathlons and thus do a lot of training. I have worn new balance shoes for decades. This shoe is terrible. There is no support or cushioning. I removed the inserts to observe the cushioning and is not even 1/8 of an inch deep. It is like stepping on a thin piece of carboard. The read heel is not for running or walking as it does not strike right.

I always read reviews to help me purchase an item. I and guilty and did not do for this one. I have anohter pair of N.B.'s foam racing shoes and will just go back to that model. Really N. B. how can you put out a foam running shoe touting cushioning and have none.

I’ve worn virtually every brand of shoes made, and while New Balance has always excelled on the comfort scale, these shoes take comfort to another level altogether. They fit perfectly, and they’re lighter than a feather. The aesthetics may not be to everyone’s liking, but I think they’re sharp looking. I use these for HIIT and every day wear. Any more, $100+ seems extravagant for athletic shoes since so many less expensive great options are available, but I’m happy that I splurged.

The cushioning on the foam soles must be precisely calculated to provide adequate resistance for lift as well as cushioning to protect the joints from impact. That's a pretty delicate calculation. For a person over 6' and over 250lbs these shoes have worked like no other. They keep me protected from over impacting on hard surfaces as well as providing that extra lift to make forward progress that much easier. Excellent product and stylish as well.

Comfortable, good looking, little slippery

Pros:

1. So good looking. The knit and how the back of the shoes, and front of the shoes match in color when your pants are just over it makes it look so awesome looking. The colors are very accurate. Design and texture is better in person.

2. N logo reflects light at night - which is a very nice touch.

3. Super cushion - I've had a lot of NB before, and I bought them because they were super comfortable to just wear all day long. Going for a long walk or short sprints, lifting heavy stuff, or whatever that you don't want to wear your dress shoes for. And this is no different. Very supportive. Arch support is very good as well for those with medium arch.

4. Shoe lace test - I like it when I put the shoe laces in, and there are enough. Also, it doesn't roll up when you lace it. It stays in place pretty good.

5. Super easy to put on. There is some give, or stretch that it makes it super easy to put on. You can't put it on while standing, but this is easier to put on then most shoes I've had.

Cons:

1. It gets dirty sooo fast. I washed this after two days or wearing it. The knit and the bottom white gets dirty so fast. Once you get something on the knitted part, it's very difficult to get it out.

2. The rear part that hugs your heels tend to be loose if your shoes not super tight. It's not terrible, but I just imagined that the design lends itself to hug your heels no matter how tight your laces are. Not the case. I wish it was elastic or something, so it holds you up.

3. Tongue tend to go to the side. This bothers me a lot on any shoes, but this shoes does it. It slides to the right or left and leaves a little gap. It's not uncomfortable, but it does bother me a bit aesthetically.

Are there better shoes than this? Of course. But depends on your foot shape (I have a medium, normal, all toes line up, second toe is ever slightly longer than my big toe, medium width, medium arch foot) I don't think you can find one this comfortable that looks this good (NB makes walking shoes for dad's that's suppose to be super comfortable - according to my father I bought one for).

I'd buy.

These are some of the most comfortable sneakers I have ever worn. First of all, I love that the back of the sneaker curves away from the Achilles tendon. This makes it easier to slip on and also eliminates the classic "Break-in blister" since the back doesn't rub against the Achilles tendon. The sole is very comfortable and not too soft. The material is flexible and breathable so you get plenty of air for your feel. The width and length are a perfect fit for me. I would definitely buy these again.

I am a 55 year old retired Army guy who has spent a lot of time on my feet and my feet hurt when I am on them for any length of time. I have been to Fleet Feet and a few other places buying shoes that seemed comfortable but I wasn't able to do any distance walking or running without my feet giving out. I got them a few weeks ago, and I have been walking and running, going as far as 13 miles and my feet felt amazingly good. The shoes are comfortable, light and I like them so much that I bought two more pairs of them today. Best shoes I have ever purchased.

I have been running for about 5 years now, this is my 5th pair of running shoes. I had the Fresh Foam Beacon v2 before and loved them. I moved onto other pairs of running shoes since and have always found myself comparing my running shoes to the performance of the Fresh Foam v2. Now that I was back in the market for new running shoes I saw the Fresh Foam v3 and knew there was no other choice. I am glad to have the v3, they are really very similar to the performance of the v2, maybe slightly different, but overall mostly the same, and that is actually a good thing, why change a good thing? Not a huge heal drop, great for learning to land midsole, suuuuper lightweight, and just the right amount of cushion, not to much, not to little, excellent for long runs and short fast runs.
