New balance has different actual real life sizes between different models, had 3 totally 623v3 (US12), 624v5(US11.5), 601v1(US11.5 was 2 sizes small)

Fit is great, all good, except toe-box area is too high, especially when lacing up tight.

Is someone in your life becoming a dad? Then this is a must get gift for them! Once they put on these extremely comfortable shoes, they will be able to feel the knowledge of the whole universe flow through them. They are fantastic.

A slight side effect is that they will begin to tell a lot of dad jokes and puns.

But seriously, fantastic shoes. Love them.

Expected better from New Balance

I wear these shoes strictly for walking on a treadmill, but after two weeks, I may have to throw them out. There's an irritation inside the left foot that grates against my little toe, making it very uncomfortable for walking. Sometimes these things go away after a few days wear, or sometimes the sock may not be pulled up tight; but this has been consistent for two weeks. Feeling inside the shoe hasn't identified the problem, so I assume it's just bad design. I would've expected perfection from New Balance, and for spending about $100 on the pair.

These are quite comfortable. Have to wear footwear indoors and these fit the bill. My dad has worn NBs for years and now I know why....of course my kids will bug me wearing the "old man" shoes" but like I tell them, "Odds are you'll be wearing these when you're my age".
The insole is thin, but removable. Will easily take your own insert and at times, have put my ortho ones in. A good shoe for the price. Would buy these again.

Shoes fall apart in 2 weeks - DON'T BUY!

Don't buy these shoes! The heel separates from the sole after 2 weeks of wear. I got a replacement, same thing happened. Now I am stuck with these shoes and will have to glue them, which I shouldn't have to do. Very disappointed with this item!

not up to NB standards

As a letter carrier, I put a lot of KMs on shoes and NB 11.5 2E shoes have been my go-to for over 20 years. These shoes, however, felt uncomfortable from the get-go; I've been wearing them for about 4 weeks now, and they're still uncomfortable and they've now developed a chirping sound in each shoe as I push off each foot. The shoe just feels cheap and after purchasing 2 pairs/year for many years, these might be my last pair. Isn't even a model number on the shoe. And I don't think I can exchange them anymore. And these weren't a one-off- they are just poorly designed and manufactured.

I have bought these for myself four times in a row now and the last two times were through Amazon instead of a NB retail store. The only issue I had was that the liner in one shoe was slightly too large in the latest delivery. Not a problem to fix. I just trimmed it down. This is a factory QA/QC issue that should not happen with the more expensive NB brand name.

This is about my tenth pair of these or their predecessors which certainly tells the comfort story of this shoe. NB is very good at using the same last as it makes small incremental changes to other aspects of the shoe. I do wish they had more durable soles; they wear out long before the uppers.

When my husband received these in July (2020) he was very happy with them. They were comfortable and fit well. Unfortunately now, only two months later they are splitting on the sides and coming away from the sole. At $100 and all leather, I'd have expected much better wear from them. The return window has closed so we can't even send them back. No kudos for this product.
