The part of the hose that meets the container is very poorly finished, which makes it awkward to fit. However, the real problem is the quality of the container. It developed a crack around one of the moulded feet and leaked within a few days of first filling it. Our car now reeks of petrol and, luckily, the plastic boot liner contained the fuel, otherwise things would’ve been much worse. It wasn’t mistreated, so the issue was poor construction with thin walls.
I think this is a real safety risk and can’t recommend this product. I’ve since bought a metal fuel can from the main high street automotive brand, which is three times the price, but very well made and will clearly last.
