A bit awkward

I’m using this on an Air Arms s400 classic with the air arms silencer. I had to remove the silencer to get the cable in the barrel, and make no mistake you won’t get it in otherwise. It’s a bit fiddly pulling the string out the other end as well, so I’m not sure how long it’s gonna last, It pulled the patches through ok on its first go anyways lol. The field patch was pretty good, but a shame you only get 3. A nice gun cleaning cloth would have been a welcome addition, and the spray would have been better with a straw end as it’s difficult to spray down the barrel without 50% ending up outside. Defo overpriced.

Hugely over priced from wherever you buy it

This item is hugely over priced. A reasonable pull through, a wad of fibre cloths to attach to the pull through (2 of each need for .177 and 3 for .22), a can of oil based solvent to lubricate and cleanse the barrel. This can of oil really would benefit from having a straw attachment (such as on WD 40) as it is very difficult to direct the fluid into the barrel on any rifle, particularly a PCP, 3 cleaning cloths and a cheap zipped bag to hold it all in.

Aside from the cost, is the kit any good? 4 stars in its current form and 5 if it had a straw or some type of adapter to allow users to more easily apply the solvent spray into the barrel.

To be absolutely honest, a price under £20.00 would be more realistic and before anyone feels I am being overly critical of either Amazon or the seller, this item is the same price from wherever you purchase it. The manufacturer also recommends that you use this product to clean your gun barrels after only 250 pellets - I wouldn’t follow that advice personally.

I tried cheaper kits and they never seemed to clean as I thought they should or they didn't feel sturdy.

This kit ticks all the boxes for what's needed to keep your rifle in tip top condition and for the quality of the components. However....

There are only three field wipes which seems a bit mean given the price.
It's tricky to get the string down the barrel without a straw (not included).

Finally the instructions
- far too brief and not all that clear so difficult for a beginner,
- written in small black type on a dark red background and consequently very difficult to read.
I expected better for the price though it does the job.

This item contains all you need to clean an air rifle. It contains patched, oily pads, and a great pull-through. The pull through enables you to easily pull a patch through the barrel from the most inaccessible breeches. Highly recommended! I have used it on my TX200 underlever and S410F PCP air rifles and it is great.

Cleaned my rifle o.k,not a lot of cleaner oil in bottle contents,the wipes you only get 3 and really don't see the point of them if you can wipe over your rifle with the bottle stuff, expensive to buy the sachets later on.The pull cord is ok but will need straw to feed it onto your barrel if you have a moderator fitted,the dry wipes you get a fair few but you will use minimum of 5 a time.The pull cord rubber covering the brass colour end cord came loose and needs pushing back on. All comes in a carry bag.It does its job and works great but pricing,it needs to be £5-10 pounds less.

Snapped the first time I used it

I used one pull through patch in a .177 barrel and the loop string snapped. I was able to tie it back together and have used it since. I think patch twisted and bunched causing it to jam and snap. I have also noticed that the string now twists and is difficult to get up the barrel however the straw technique does work and helps.
