Product description

The Arctic Sport is a tall wellington boot for extreme winter weather conditions. These boots step up the warmth factor with soft fleece lining and a 5mm neoprene inner boot for ultimate warmth in harsh cold conditions. The stretch-fit top-line binding on these waterproof rubber boots keeps them snug to your legs to keep cold air out and warm air in, providing the perfect fit for wide calves. With an EVA molded sole for supreme comfort, these high-performance outdoor sport boots feature an added 2mm thermal foam underlay for extra warmth. For those extra muddy or frozen days, the boot outsole is rugged, durable and offers ultimate protection with double reinforcement on the instep, heel and Achilles area. The story began in 1999 with the sole purpose of building the most comfortable, high performance footwear on the market. The need for a more comfortable boot for use in messy and tough conditions led to the design of The Original Muck Boot Company brand footwear. Every boot in the line is expected to deliver the same 100% waterproof quality and comfort that inspired the original footwear. In just a few years, the line has grown to more than 20 styles, all designed to tackle tough conditions in agriculture, lawn and garden, outdoor sporting, equine, and pet care. Today, the Muck Boot brand defines a standard of comfort and quality that goes beyond the expectations of customers around the country.

2.0 out of 5 stars £94 worth of boots should last more than 16 months of fairly tame usage
By Mr C. on 16 January 2018
I loved these boots when I first bought them and I was quick to give them a glowing review. In my 1st review of them I gave them 5 stars and I concluded my review by saying- "They are very sturdy so I am sure I will be wearing them for quite a few years." - I was dead wrong !
I uploaded this picture of the back of my right boot just now - (3rd May 2019). I took delivery of those boots on 8th January 2018. That is 5 days shy of 16 months that I have had these boots.
I have worn them daily as I wear them to walk my dog. I have not been going over rough terrain or doing any serious farm labouring / gadening etc. in them.
I have only been using them to walk around my local park twice a day and sometimes I walk along the beach. I generally do 2 miles a day in them.
I did like how comfy they were to wear. I liked the sole and how sturdy and supported I felt wearing them.
Up until today I thought these would be excellent dog walking boots. You can see from the photo I have uploaded that the rubber at the heel of my right boot has cracked all the way through. My left boot hasn't cracked like this but you can see the stress lines on that boot at the same point, so it doesn't look like that boot would last much longer with the daily usage I use those boots for.
I have always bought cheap circa - £10 wellies in the past, and I have 2 such pairs that are still doing the business. I only wear them when gardening or going out in pouring rain or snow.
I am now really at a loss deciding on which welly type boots to buy next. I might go back to walking the dog in my walking boots.
I haven't contacted the manufacturers yet, having read a couple of similar reviews to my own; but I will. (Their guarantee is only for one year).
I really don't think these boots are worth the money that is being charged for them. AVOID !

1.0 out of 5 stars Avoid these boots - they will fail on you!
By Geoff_K on 3 January 2018
For 18 months I was pleased with these boots. But then a split developed on a crease, making them useless (see photos). Bear in mind, I am over 65, and only use these for dog walking when it is wet - so they have been very lightly used in their life. I sent the pictures to Muckmaster customer services - but they would have nothing to do with me, simply quoting that they had a 12 month guarantee period. What a disappointment ! They were expensive, but I thought that I was paying for quality. How wrong I was!! My recommendation is to avoid.
