Please Don't Cancel It!
Why oh why would Amazon cancel this uniquely entertaining, joyful and inspiring show? About an eccentric maestro and his orchestra, it makes classical music fun for everyone, it has a perfect romantic comedy at its heart and above all it inspires you to live life "with the blood" (fans will know what I mean!). It's one of Amazon Originals best accomplishments and it never got the promotion it deserved, especially considering it won two Golden Globes. The characters and fans deserve closure, please reconsider this short sighted decision making Amazon.

The best season so far- for an ever charming show. Disappointing and befuddling cancellation.
This is definitely the best season yet!

I read that this show has been cancelled because amazon is looking to remove more "quiet and niche series' in favor of guaranteed blockbuster hits."

Before I go further, if this show is cancelled it would be really unfortunate - and below is why.

To me the above statement from amazon is so ironic, granted a major theme of this show is about classical music's struggle to remain relevant and hip- and ultimately more appealing to a wider and maybe even younger audience. This show of course dominates that that problem by revolving around the life of young classical musicians and their complicated lives. This very well may be niche- but it is a beautifully postmodern show for a contemporarily post modern audience, who is more concerned with their personal lives, intimate problems and passions than standardized and homogenized action. Furthermore this show is anything but quiet! It uses the profundity of classical music in both its more intimate but also most grandiose and gobsmacking forms to curate this wonderfully charming and intricately developed season. This show on the whole possess many aspect of melodrama where although no one is getting their head cut off- remarkable experiences take hold. Moreover season 4 has shown the most dramatic, romantic, victorious and heartbreaking elements so far.

This show definitely inspires me and speaks to me on a personal level- as I am sure it has for plenty of other fans. Above all else it is really entertaining and I know I will be keeping my fingers crossed hoping for a 5th season.

Just lovely
To my shame I have to admit that I've only discovered Mozart in the Jungle a couple of months ago and I've immediately rewatched all episodes. In Season 1 took 3 episodes to find its feet, but from the episode in which Rodrigo is teaching Hailey how to make a mate on tape ("Eagle! There is an eagle outside!") while he is studying old sheets of music in a library and talks to an imaginary Mozart (despite the fact that he should be at a fundraiser) it all seemed to come together. It's not perfect, but neither is life. Everyone in Mozart in the Jungle is flawed. Storylines are flawed - some of them just peter out, but there is a loveliness to all of it, an attention to human emotion which made it very believable. It is my understanding that it was marketed as a comedy, but for me the most memorable episodes are not comedic at all. Particularly the episode in the jail in season 3 and the episode about the tea ceremony in season 4 are incredibly moving. I was also moved by the relationship between Rodrigo and Hailey. The miscommunication between them was very recognisable, and I've found the highlighting of female artists and their particular struggles very interesting. It is a real shame that Amazon didn't continue with this fantastic series, and left the viewers hanging with the question 'and what's next for the orchestra, Hailey, Rodrigo, and all the other characters?'

Amazing Series
I've seen the first 3 episodes of the new series so far and love it! It's out earlier than expected so I'm a very happy viewer. I cannot wait to watch the rest of series 4, and then watch all 4 series all over again!
So far it has been extremely funny, insightful, moving, playful and everything MITJ should be! 5 stars!

Edit: I have now watched the entire series and can't stress enough how brilliant it was. Laughter, followed by tears, followed by more laughter. I am in love with Gael Garcia Bernal's portrayal of Rodrigo and how he is evolving as a character through the episodes. It is truly a wonderful series and now have to wait patiently for season 5!

I will watch it again and again and again. My fave season so far
I watched first 3 seasons number of times and so I have been waiting in anticipation for the continuation. The fourth season doesn't disappoint. If anything, it precedes expectations. The storylines are mature and fresh at the same time. I loved the inclusion of the stories of female composers whose influence on modern classical music has been overlooked for centuries and how Hailey related to it. Again, like before, the shooting locations are amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed some psychedelic scenes, as well as seeing some of my favourites, like Nadia Sirota. This series has a heart. Don't miss out!

Amazing, original show.
Amazing, original show. In a time when most shows are trying to please the lowest common denominator, Mozart in the Jungle was clever, funny, different, cultured. Sure, a comedy (with a little drama) about a NY-based philharmonic orchestra, with cameos from great musicians of the world of classical music is not for everyone, but it is a breath of fresh air for those who can appreciate it. The cast is excellent, Gael Garcia Bernal has great chemistry with his "Hailaiy", I was so sad this got canceled. Such a shame...

Great show do not cancell!!
Love this show and have binge watched every series. It has a great mix of likeable characters, classical music and original storyline. But i am now extremely disapointed in amazon for cancelling it at this stage in the story especially as they seem to have left it on a clifhanger with Hayley regreting her descision. Very poor choice by Amazon which will not do them any favours in retaining prime customers.

Cancel you prime subscription! Until Amazon make Series 5 it's a Lock Out!
The low rating is purely for Amazon. This is another absolutely brilliant series, funny and moving, worth 4.5 stars - really can't believe this is the last series - just like Halt and Catch Fire - another gem that was unjustly axed (though not by Amazon that time). If we all mark our ratings as 1 it might get Amazon to pay attention and bring it back - perhaps we should also cancel our Prime subscriptions in protest, like a lock out!
