Comedy on the run

Enjoyed this film a lot. Great cast which acquits itself well. In style and pace it reminded me of Lock Stock or Snatch. Johnny Depp is brilliant as a crooked English aristocrat and likewise his henchman played by Paul Bettany. Gwyneth Paltrow is convincing as an English minx of a wife who is also the object of desire for a British security chief played by Ewan McGregor. Lots of villains join in the chase for a missing Goya painting which ranges across two continents. Good fun in a modern, big-budget version of an Ealing comedy.

If you like a comedy that harks back to classic comedic structure, or if you want to see Depp on top form, then watch this. I was wheezing with laughter throughout at the physical comedy, comedic timing and downright silliness. 5 stars from me; don't listen to the bores with their 1 star reviews

Funny, the good old days humour. Loved it!

This film has the type of humour that I wish was still around more. It takes a lot for a film to keep my attention but this one definitely did. I'm nit sure why it was rated 18 but will definitely watch again.
