`Little Fockers' is the third instalment in the `Meet the Parents' series and I have to say that I found it nearly as good as it's predecessors.

The formula is pretty well established now. Whilst trying to impress and ingratiate himself, Greg Focker gets nervous around his father in-law, Jack Byrne, and makes a variety of social faux pas. He also manages to make some innocent events look suspicious and Byrne uses his CIA training to wheedle out the truth, often with hilarious consequences. This film has the addition of the Focker children to add another dimension and Jessica Alba plays an attractive drug rep to make Jack think Greg is having an affair.

This film has some decent performances from all involved and I have to say my favourite characters still have to be Greg's parents, played by Barbara Streisand and Dustin Hoffman. Their delivery of their lines is wonderful and I love the characters uninhibited views on sex and life. Owen Wilson also comes out with some funny lines as the enamoured ex-boyfriend Kevin.

This doesn't have quite as many laugh out loud moments as the previous two films, although I did find this very funny and it had me chuckling along at numerous points. The concept is getting a little tired now though and if they do another film they may want to consider tweaking the format to keep it fresh.

All in all this is an entertaining and light hearted film that will please fans of the existing films and whilst it isn't outstanding, it is still worth a watch at some point.

Feel free to check out my blog which can be found on my profile page.

Excellent viewing for grown ups and bigger children. Not one to watch with your very little ones, or if you do there are places where volume control and hands over the eyes may well come in most handy, our 9 year old loves it! Brilliant acting, with this stellar cast, De Niro, Wilson, Stiller et al that's unsurprising. Laugh out loud funny with some interesting, moral value, thought-provokers thrown in. If you like raucous comedy with some over the top slapstick and downright daftness this film is definitely for you and yours, Enjoy your watch and enjoy laughing together.

Awfull, sadly not as good as it’s forefathers. Very tired script with a few odd smiles not laughing hysterically as you would in the others

More of the same really though, starts off that Jack and Greg and buddies now (picking up from the end of the 2nd film) but then disaster and Jack is hounding Greg once again.

1st film - interrogate Greg
2nd film - interrogate Greg's family....and Greg
3rd film - erm......interrogate....kids? No.....family dog? No.....next door neighbours? school teachers? kids best friend? Gregs co-workers? No, no and no! Lets just interrogate Greg some more.

Disappointingly lacking humour

It's a shame they made this as it really diminishes the greatness of the original. It feels tired and drawn out. And not funny.
