Great Film about a Great Man

This is a great and informative documentary about one of the Great Men of Football and Life itself, Sir Stan Matthews, the first Global superstar, the Wizard and the man who taught us the way football should be played. Stan should be treasured for all time and this film with remastered footage and interviews gives modern generations the chance to learn about Stan’s exploits on and off the field.

I knew of Sir Stan before viewing this film but did not realise the true impact he had on football in England and the world. This film shows us how Stan inspired people on and off the pitch. I wish I could've seen him in action in real life but this movie comes as a close second to that!

There is longevity and then there is Stanley Matthews. Retired professionally at 50 years old! I had also never heard of the great work he did in Soweto with those lads who honour his legacy. Beautiful. Simply the best
