Season 2 of this series has been even better than the first

Season 2 of this series has been even better than the first!! On one hand, we see the difficulty that the established medical body has in accepting the methodology and initial outcomes of the Masters/Johnson study and on the other we see that this study is just one aspect in a decade where socially accepted norms to just about everything is being questioned. I particularly like how the narrative has been interwoven with other key developments of the time such as the introduction of the female contraceptive pill, the Pap smear for the detection of cervical cancer and the changing attitudes to race and the early days of the Civil Rights Movement. Slowly we begin to see the characters unravel as they are flawed on many different levels and observe as they struggle to make sense of their behaviour. I can't wait for season 3........and 4...............and 5..............!!!

Beguiling and compelling

OK, I started watching it for the sex, which is a great 'hook'. But the people and the issues take over. How do we treat women, black people, gay people? What have they endured? So many issues pop up which call for reflection.

Riveting, clever and just awesome!

Riveting to watch, clever, and just superbly done. The fact that the story is based on a true story makes it all the more interesting. I also love the historical setting of a time when women were treated so far less than equal... The casting is awesome and the performances by the actors is no less, especially Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan. A show about sex and couples, for couples.
