This fits extremely snugly ot the new Macbook air (2017) but appears designed for earlier models as it has a number of long rectangular air vents on the base, that are fine if working on a table but uncomfortable on the lap - sharp edges on the vent cut outs.
Do make sure that everything is fully aligned before snapping in place as once on it's almost impossible to remove.
It does have rather attractive blue-ish glow around the edges when the Mac is on or when the sun shines on it. Be aware that the case does add considerably to the weight of the MBA, which is a shame as the point of the Air is portability, but it does seem to offer the required rigidity so probably protects the computer to some extent when transporting in bags etc.

I bought this case for my MacBook - I wanted something practical but not expensive. The case fits my laptop perfectly, model MacBook Air A1466. I like how you are able to see the apple logo through the case. The bottom of the case had rubber feet, stopping your laptop from moving when in use. I have a similar case for my MacBook Pro, but at a higher price, however, I recommend this one highly - the quality and finish are just as good.

I bought this to put lots of stickers on my Mac as I didn't want to put the stickers directly onto my laptop, and this was perfect for that. Doesn't make the laptop look too bulky, and its easy to put on.

To take off, I found that using a credit card makes it really easy - just slide underneath the case around the edges and it pops off.

This case is shiny, so if you don't like that then don't buy it. I like the shine so this is great for me.

I needed a case to protect my laptop after I finally realised that lugging it in my bag most days was going to lead to it breaking... this case is just as described: very sturdy, good quality and value for money. Choosing the clear version meant that I could add stickers to the case without ruining the actual laptop so I'm very happy. It does add some bulk and weight to the laptop but I'm willing to roll with this because it's doing a good job so far. It's also very hard to take off once you place it on so make sure you like it up properly beforehand (I learnt this the hard way!).

These cases do not alter the overall appearance but mean you can pick it up with one hand without worrying it''ll damage the MacBook. Should protect the laptop from everyday wear and tear.
