Funniest comedy in years

London Irish is a witty and smart adult comedy about a 20-something group of Irish friends/family living in London with the ever present 'mammy' scaring them all witless in the background. The humour is very similar to Scottish humour and many of the jokes run along parallel lines to that of Scotland - the use of eejit (idiot) one of many examples! The story lines are well thought out and there are always sub-plots cleverly woven in. All in all I couldn't recommend this highly enough, especially if you're Irish or Scots. Roll on Series 2!

The humor is so raw and unexpected you can't help but laugh.
disappointed there's no season 2 but maybe that's better as it couldn't have lived up to season 1.

Missed some of the early episodes on TV so bought the boxset. Not disappointed. Very enjoyable for a 60+ punter. Being from NI helps but my friends from other UK areas got the humour. The characters are very well put together and acted. Many scenes brought memories of my past drink related experiences - you never get too old for it you know. Extras included a snippet with Lisa Mcgee and friends - could see where she got her ideas. I suspect that due to lack of promotion by Ch4 there might not be a second series which would be a shame. Series with real talent and humour.
