Love stretch fit

Ok, so all my previous 514s were the original, non stretch jeans. After my boss (lady of the house) bought me some Lucky and Gap jeans that were stretch, I learned to see just how damn comfortable they were. Regular cotton seemed so stiff and uncomfortable. But, to each their own. I read some of the reviews complaining about the stretch, and saying these aren't 'authentic'... well, they seem like quality Levis to me, and even more comfortable than the non-stretch.

My Lucky and Gap jeans are slender fit (not skinny jeans), and I swore I'd never wear things like that until she got me them. Now, I think they look really sharp. For reference, I'm 49, 5'10, and about 180 athletic build. I don't want to look like I'm trying to be 18 again, but I don't want to look like grandpa. I don't tuck my shirts in unless I'm wearing a nice dress shirt, sports jacket, and chukkas with jeans, and I don't wear white socks. These 514s are my go to when I want to wear straight leg jeans. They fit lower on the waist, but not too low so they don't look like dad jeans.

I'll definitely be buying more. I just wish they didn't use those stupid naming conventions for the color. If it's black, call it black. Call it medium blue, dark blue. light blue, etc... at least that's what I think.

I bought an older pair of these from a discount store many years ago and the fit was perfect for my husband. Fast forward and now have to replace the original pair. Fit is great, color is good. For reference, my husband is 5’10”, 175 lbs and wears a 31x32. He’s got a small tush and these fit well back there. Not too baggy which we often find with pants/jeans and not too tight. They are his go to jeans.

Magical stretch jeans

My boyfriend has been wearing 514s for decades. Most of his jeans are so heavy in weight since he is 6’8”. Also, he had not discovered stretch jeans until I bought these.

These look great, fit perfectly with flex, modern finish, washes well, recovers since it has spandex AND, they are lighter in weight. Great for the hot summer and easier to travel.

He asked for two more pairs because this is now a new experience to a classic.

I come from a background working 5 years in retail management. So for anybody looking for a perfect fit, I would highly suggest if you already own a pair of jeans you favor, look for a series of about 5-7 numbers usually starting with a 7 or 0, we refer to that as a "style" number. It identifies what type of jean it is, in regards to skinny, stretch, bootcut, etc. So once I found my number, I googled it and it popped up on amazon details, so I ordered 2 pair, and they fit magnificent! I'm so internally happy with this fit, and I will be ordering more in the near future.

I've been wearing Levi's 514 for a decade. Buy a couple of new pairs every couple of years to replace the worn ones. Levi's now switched to the elastic fabric (1% Elastane). This was the first time I try one of these, and I have no complaints. Does not affect fit and look.
