How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

It does not fit right. I believe they may be fake

Legs are way two long while rise is too tight and uncomfortable. I have a pair of Originals 511, I did order the same size for these pairs of 501's and it is nowhere even near in size and comfortablility compared to my other pair. I found few anomalies and inconsistencies compared to the other pair I bought from a Levi's shop that make me think these are fake. For instance the inside of the left pocket is not printed and the number in the back of the main button does not match with the one inside the info labels. I could also tell the leather of the waistband in the back was worse quality and with irregularities that usually indicates these are fake.

OK, so normally I object to paying Levis prices. After all, you can get a pair "just as good" from, let's say, Next for a quarter of the price. You're just paying for the name. Or so I thought.
I saw these as a "deal of the day" and, on a whim bought a pair and they're so much better than any I've worn in decades. They fit like a glove, they're flattering to wear and they're built from high quality materials. I've only had them a week or so so I can't comment on long term wear but I'd be surprised if I'm not wearing them for many years to come.
There has been some discussion in other reviews as to whether these jeans are fakes. I can't talk about other's purchases (obviously) but I checked the pair I bought against a number of test for fake Levis - did you know about the number on the back of the waist button matching the number on the washing instructions? I do now - and they passed every one. I'm convinced these are genuine and sold at a very competitive price.

Poor quality, lightweight denim. A mere shadow of the beautiful heavy denim jeans that were virtually compulsory in my teenage years in the 1970s. Yet Levi's have the audacity to charge over £50 for such flimsy rubbish. They aren't even made in the USA any more! I feel cheated. Much better value are the Dickies WD1693 stonewashed work jeans that I bought six months ago from Amazon for a third of the price (£18.20). They are made of the heavy denim that Levis' used to made from and are excellent quality. I have worn them several times a week, washed them probably 25 times, and they are wearing in nicely, just like Levi's used to. I recommend you forget the rubbish churned out on Levi's behalf in Bangladesh and opt for Dickies instead.
PS: Incidentally, I have no vested interest in either product: I bought both pairs with my own hard-earned. I have also recently bought a pair of Wranglers, also from Amazon, but have not yet worn them enough to assess for a review.

Ordinarily I'm a wrangler man but my first pair of jeans were Levi 501's. I was 12 and I lived in those jeans. Anyway as time went by I swapped
to Wrangler and for 48 years they've never let me down. So I thought I'd try a pair of Levis. Anyway, the fit was good. But I could see a problem
ahead with those studded flies, especially when your bursting. Call me pedantic but the red tab on the back pocket was just a red tab without the
Levi motif. That was unacceptable. Plus they were made in Pakistan not the U.S. For £52 I expected more, so I returned them.
As always, no problem with Amazon returns. I always feel safer buying from them direct.

These are false material and to be thrown away. I bought them here size 33/10 about 5 weeks ago for £36.99 (something like half price) but the thighs are too tight, and front pockets have no space although the buttocks are very baggy, so they are uncomfortable and keep falling down. They claim to be 100% cotton, but the label says 45% cotton, 36% polyester, 17% lyocell, 2% elastane - even my £10 union blues ones are 97% cotton, and M+S regular fit ones 98% cotton, slim fit 60% cotton!

Please beware that these jeans have an elastane type material woven into the denim cotton, therefore they have a softer feel, and are slightly elastic in nature/feel. I usually like my jeans to be pretty rigid, but these feel quite odd and off-putting.
Despite being a 501 styled Jean, they seem to hang alot more looser than my other 501s (up to, maybe, 20 pairs in the last 10 years, so hope I know by now how they fit!).

I was delighted when these jeans first arrived. The size was perfect - same size 501s for 30 years or more! They were very comfortable - maybe slightly more stretch than I’d known before, but nothing to worry about. They looked great, and felt great.
Then, after maybe a month or less, I was stepping onto a yacht (for my job) and they split down the crotch. Very embarrassing!
I got them repaired, and even ordered a new pair “for best”.
Now they have just split again, not on the repair, but on the other side of the crotch. This time I was just getting onto my bicycle.
I have bought 501s for decades. They simply work for me and my shape. I wear them until they wear out at the knees, and then I patch them, and eventually I wear them for gardening. I usually get a good 10 years wear out of them, whereafter they go into the spares drawer, and I use them to patch knees on younger trousers and pockets for shorts etc.
So I’m very disappointed. I can only imagine there was a failure in manufacturing - maybe an acid wash was too strong, or maybe poor material to begin with. However, Amazon says I can’t send them back.
