Levi's & LEVI'S Tab. In the early 1970s, instead of all-caps “LEVI’S”, it changed to a title-case “Levi’s” - with a lowercase “e.” The “E” font differentiation became a mark among collectors of a vintage piece. Its evolution made it more of a timestamp for collectors and fans of the brand worldwide.	Levi's Tab with no logo. In order to protect the company’s exclusive legal right to market clothes with the tab, Levi’s needs to produce a percentage of products with a plain tab and just the (R) symbol to show that Levi’s owns legal rights in the Tab itself, not just in Levi’s brand.	Levi’s Tab color variations. Different Levi's Tab's colors represented different lines of clothing, from corduroy flares to boot-cut jeans to a whole category of women’s wear. Levi's tabs can be found in black, blue, orange, red, silver and white.

1) Measure your waist: wrap the measuring tape around your waistline – just above your belly button and where your waist naturally goes in slightly. Do not pull the tape too tightly around the body. Tip: For value accuracy, only wear thin clothing when taking the measurements.

2) Measure your inseam: measure your inseam length by placing one end of the measuring tape on the top of your inside leg and the other on the middle of your ankle. Tip: Take a pair of a pair of well-fitting jeans and place them on a flat surface to measure the inseam better.

Ordinarily I'm a wrangler man but my first pair of jeans were Levi 501's. I was 12 and I lived in those jeans. Anyway as time went by I swapped
to Wrangler and for 48 years they've never let me down. So I thought I'd try a pair of Levis. Anyway, the fit was good. But I could see a problem
ahead with those studded flies, especially when your bursting. Call me pedantic but the red tab on the back pocket was just a red tab without the
Levi motif. That was unacceptable. Plus they were made in Pakistan not the U.S. For £52 I expected more, so I returned them.
As always, no problem with Amazon returns. I always feel safer buying from them direct.

The Levi 501 jeans were like an old friend, but what I forgot was that these jeans are a little on the generous side.
I ordered and received a 40" waist by 32" leg these should have been OK, I knew I would have to get the leg shortened, but the waist should be fine.
The jeans arrived in time and I took them to my seamstress to have them taken up. I had not tried them in as my other jeans (different make) same size fitted OK if a little tight.
I then washed the jeans in the age old tradition with new jeans.
When dry I put them on and was a little surprised to find that the waist was a bit on the loose side and with a belt rucked up slightly.
The jeans are still OK, but when I order them the next time I will order the 38" waist with the advantage that they are available with a 30" leg.
The Levi 501 are excellent quality and comfortable to wear and if they last as long as my other Levi 501's I will be very pleased.

Pocket Stitching has started to come away.

NOT impressed that the 2nd time I wore these jeans I noticed the stitching has started to come away around the left pocket.
Also label on the back slightly over laps the cross stitched seam on the lower right corner (see photo). I expect better from Levi's and it's not some thing I have noticed on other Levi's I have previously had. ...leading me to wonder if they are genuine??? I DOUBT IT!!

My son ordered me 30/30 501s for my birthday as this is my regular fit. I am only 5'1" so always expect to cut the legs so the length wasn't a problem but they waist and legs felt just too 'roomy'. They were comfortable but having other 501s I knew they would probably ease off a little more and be too baggy on me. I returned them for 28s. The waist and hips fit great but the legs were just a little too tight. They seemed to be a different style so unfortunately returned them too. I will probably order 29s if available and try them. The denim appears to be good quality and the service very efficient.

Awful quality excuse for a pair of 501, the fabric is thin & light & even the fit is more like loose fit jeans than regular fit jeans, how Amazon can sell this rubbish to its customers is beyond me, why dont Amazon have product quality control in place?.... my advice, i think its best to buy 501's from the Levis online store or Levis high street shop to make sure you get the genuine product

What's with the buttons? Surely us men wants mens jeans that come with a zip? but buttons, who wants to be messing around with buttons?

Apart from that these are lovely jeans, a real 1980s colour to them. I found them a bit long in the leg, normally a 30/30 fits me fine but the length seemed rather longer than usual.
