Pros: Stretch is comfortable in waist, legs and seat while sitting, bending, squatting. Plenty of back belt loops so no bent belt back or rear slide-down. 98% soft cotton, not nylon or polyester. No fade after several washes. Secure buttoned rear pockets. I found the straight fit not to my personal choice as it was looser in the seat and legs than I wanted so I returned for the slim fit. Although slim fit description says "regular fit through the hip and thigh with tapered leg" I did find the slim fit smaller in seat and legs. I also opted for black on the reorder as the buff color was not really a stone or khaki color and just didn't look right to my eye or what I was used to in other pants.

Cons: Some reviewers disagreed about inseam length shrinkage, I chose a longer length and it was the right choice. These did shrink in length by 2" after three washes in hot water and a very hot dryer. Although in the closeup picture it looks denim like, the material was a surprising checkered weave similar to pique and not like denim or a smooth cotton chino in appearance or feel. The left cargo pocket has no zipper and tends to gap open with anything in it. I solved by sewing in Velcro.

Personal Preferences: I prefer cotton over nylon/polyester. I don't like the look of loose bulging add-on cargo pocket pants so I tend toward discreet hidden pockets like the extra phone pocket on Red Kap, the discontinued Dockers or Wranglers Performance Zip Cargo Nylon Pants. If you need a lot of large cargo pockets, these are not what you should purchase. I just want these side leg pockets to hold my "Big Skinny" wallet and "Samsung Note 9" without having to stuff these in the waist pockets. Both these items fit perfectly and just about appear invisible with no bulge while I'm standing. I liked the look and feel that I ordered a second pair in grey.

The term “slim fit” seems to have lost all meaning these days. These might be slim if you have a tiny waist and massive, body builder legs. Otherwise they’re just regular fit. I like everything else about these pants though. The stretchy material is comfortable.
And the low profile cargo pockets are utilitarian without making you look like a sloppy frat boy on vacation.

Edit: after wearing these for a few weeks I have a complaint: none of the pockets hold my phone. It’s an 11Pro, not super huge or slippery, but whenever I sit down, it slides out and gets stuck under my car seat. This happens with all the pockets.

I first found them in Belk I hate shopping but once I saw them on Amazon I knew I didn't have to mess with the mall ever again. The most comfortable and best looking pants I have ever found. I have always worn Carhartt but over the years I'm just tired of how heavy they are, still great if you're dragging brush through the woods but I have found that these pants can do anything and survive almost as well as heavier jeans without all that bulk and weight and heat I love these things.

I've yet to wash these yet so not sure how they'd hold up after a wash but they're by far my favorite pair of pants off all time! They fit well, have a bit of elasticity for comfort and I love the side pockets. Every retail brand should be adding side pockets.

I very much like these pants. I have 2 pairs and they are reasonably attractive and well made, and the extra pockets for storing a cell phone are fantastic. However, after about a dozen washes, they have shrunk. The leg length is about 1-2 inches shorter. While seated, the legs pull up well above the top of the sox! If I were to buy again, I'd get the inseam length a size larger.
