I am not sure if these were specifically designed to fit a strangely shaped mannequin, but there is certainly no room to fit in parts of the body that a human being naturally has, behind or in front......and I am very slim (most people annoyingly refer to me as skinny!) Years ago Lee was a jeans brand that you could trust to be well fitting, but these jeans definitely are not. Whether they are authentic or not I cannot tell, they may be fake, they may be genuine. They are badly made either way. I may have just been unlucky and received a random, poorly made pair. But that says something about quality control. Disappointing.
Unfortunately these were a bit too tight at the waist, so I have had no choice but to return them, just in case I don't get any "slimmer" over the Christmas period. And obviously the Lightning deal is long gone :(
Shame because they're really nice smart looking jeans, I'd say probably even worth it at full price (£65).
If you think you might be borderline waist size, consider erring on the larger side.
By the way, the returns process is relatively painless, so even if you had a size issue, it shouldn't normally be a major problem and won't cost you anything other than a slight inconvenience. It's just a shame to miss out on the Lightning deal in my case.
About 6 weeks later one of the belt loops near the Lee patch completely detached leaving 2 holes where they were stitched to the jeans.
A few weeks after this I ruptured my achilles tendon and was unable to wear jeans for 3 months due to having my foot in a orthopedic cast.
I have just started wearing them again and the material is worn at the crotch area so will have to be thrown out as they cannot be repaired.
Certainly not the quality or durability I have had compared to previous pairs.
They appear to have been seconds at best, hence only one star as you cannot give a ZERO rating!
Jeans arrived in perfect condition, well (if not over) packaged and just as ordered. Colour matched the advertised photograph exactly.
No faults in construction or blemishes in colour. Sizing is spot on for both waist diameter and leg length. One thing to consider however is that the leg width is somewhat generous. This is fine by me, as I have chunky thighs. If your legs are a bit on the skinny side however, perhaps you should consider another model as these may look a bit baggy.
Overall quality is seemingly good, though not as good as, say, a pair of 501s. Then again, these are at least £20 cheaper than a (genuine) pair of 501s so I guess you pays yer money... I don't think you'd want these for smart/casual, or the office's dress-down Friday, but for work or general schlepping around; at this price, these are a bit of a no-brainer. £45 for a pair of well made, decent quality jeans in this day and age is a gift. I'll be ordering a few more pairs of these before the inevitable price hike.
