I agree with other reviewers in that everything in it is totally predictable, but that aside it is competently acted and directed, has a good pace and soundtrack, is easy on the eye and the time passes quickly - so quite a few pluses. One of those pleasant movies for wiling the time away without having to think too much

Good lap dance film

Good lap dance film. Pumping soundtrack. Story is predictable. Known faces in the dancing world movies are in this film. Plus the sexy Briana Evigan from Step Up 2 is in this movie. Nice eye candy ;O)

Predictable drama with a couple of sexy bits but nothing to rave about at all.

Based on a true story, Kevin (Robert Hoffman) and his new fiancee Monica (Ali Cobrin) are on their way out to Hollywood to make their fortune, him as a screen writer and her as an actress. They detour to visit her dad (James Remar) who is dying from cancer, doesn't have enough insurance, and is facing a foreclosure etc. Monica wants to care for daddy, can't make enough money and opts to be a stripper. This causes problems in their relationship, surprise surprise, and we end up with a trite script that could be a Lifetime style film.

The film has only a small amount of stripper nudity and even less lap dancing. It is not an erotic film, but uses the erotic nature of the business for a background. It seems to have supplied us with the worse of both worlds. If you are looking for something sexy, keep looking. If you like a "B" Lifetime film with a sexy background, this is it.

Listed as "Lap Dance" US title.
