Feeling nostalgic and with a dinosaur obsessed 2.5 yr old daughter we curled up to watch this one afternoon. Mummy was soon sobbing like a baby and the little one was very engaged with the story. Was worried sharp tooth might be a bit scary but she took it in her stride. Lovely blast from the past just as good as I remember and Diana Ross's closing song still makes me well up!

One for all the family

I bought this as a present for my young nephew- have fond memories of my little brother being obsessed with this when he was 5 or 6 and it’s still a heartwarming film, even if the animation might not be as slick as more modern cartoons. Love the theme tune too!

A true classic in its genre

Quite possibly the most beautiful animated film I have ever seen. I have such fond memories of this film as a child and I think the inference and deduction that I used whilst watching it then has truely helped shaped the way I think and act as an adult. The soundtrack is beautiful; the dialogue simple but powerful. It is one of only three or four films that never fails to bring a tear to my eye, even thirty years after having seen it for the first time.

Absolutely love this film, it’s a classic for young children

I watched this many years ago with my own children. I am now a foster carer and got it so the child I’m looking after could watch. She loved it and I dare say when I have grandchildren I get it fit them to watch too. Highly recommend

Always a happy ending

I bought for my Grandchildren as my Daughters loved it when growing up. Having watched it with my opinion now is although it’s dated it’s still a lovely story.

Too outdated

I remember loving it when I was very little, about 32 years ago but forgot how outdated it is for today's standards. Slow, quite unnecessarily emotional as well, too much drama.

It does have a gorgeous soundtrack though, if you're into classical themes.
