Klunkerz - A Film about Mountain Bikes

1 h 24 min2013ALL
Using archival footage, photographs, and interviews, the film tells the story of the early days of mountain biking. In the 1970s San Francisco was the vortex of American counter-culture. Over the Golden Gate Bridge, another movement started. The kids here scavenged bikes from junkyards and adapted motorcycle parts, and a billion dollar industry was born: the mountain bike, also known as klunkerz.

Great documentary on the origins of Mountain Bikes. This was a no brainier purchase as the purchase price was the same as the rental price 0.99p! If you enjoy this then you must check out the 2014 coffee table book - Fat Tire Flyer , Repack And The Birth of Mountain Biking by Charlie Kelly and also the 1988 book - Richard's Mountain Bike Book by Charles Kelly and Nick Crane both highly recommended !
