On the first wearing the press stud below the collar came apart. Reason - 1 of the 6 "teeth" which go through the fabric to fix to the press stud had not gone through but folded against the back of the button. This I repaired.
On the third wearing an identical failure with the next button down the shirt front, but this time 2 of the 6 "teeth" had folded against the button. This has also been repaired.
In my opinion the problems lies with the fitting of the press stud buttons and / or the design is wrong in that the "teeth" are too flimsy or short.
Such a pity with a shirt which could have become a favourite and I would have bought again.
I never wear such things as shirts with cuffs fastened - either let them flap about or, more often roll sleeves up.
In this case, the cuffs are too tight by a mile, which matters not to me, but might to some of you out there.
I have very narrow wrists. Getting a watch is always a nightmare, and I often end up cutting the ends off straps to avoid having four inches of same flapping about annoyingly, so I do not have fat, or even standard wrists.
With this shirt, I can just fasten one cuff, but the other, that would go over my normal sized watch, no way. I can fasten it just below the watch, but then it is too tight to pull up to read the time - unless I unfasten it, and is is not comfortable anyway being so tight! Never had this problem with a shirt before.
I assume that this peculiarity is a "one off", but there again...
I will keep it, as the sleeves are already safely rolled up - and it really is a good shirt.
I can't imagine that it is meant to be like this. So, be careful!
I love this shirt.
