Anna Rook is afflicted with agoraphobia so crippling that when a trio of home invaders break into her old Victorian house on the outskirts of town, she is unable to flee, frozen by her phobia. The intruders soon discover that survival brings out the worst in a girl. Anna, hardly helpless, is harbouring dark secrets and deeply disturbed on many levels.

Certainly worth a look

Although this is kind of presented as one of those home invasion horrors (albeit with a twist) it's more of a grubby, violent, claustrophobic thriller rather than an out and out horror as such. It's pretty decent though, certainly worth a watch.

The premise - a group of fellas get more than they bargained for when they break into a home they believe is empty. The young lady who lives there (Anna) is indeed at home. She suffers from crippling agoraphobia and won't be leaving anytime soon.

That's about all you need really - the less you know going in, the better I think as you'll likely get more value from the way the plot thickens. And thicken it does, which is what makes the film an interesting little curiosity. Held together by a strong, committed turn from Beth Riesgraf as Anna, it gets to the point pretty quickly and rolls along at a decent pace from there towards a satisfying conclusion.

Uniqur plot good story

This is actually a good film and has a unique story within a routine plot.

3 men break in to a house thinking the resident is at her brothers funeral. What they don't know is she's actually agoraphobic and can't go to his funeral. They realise she's there and tie her up. They start looking for money and we realise 2 of them are brothers. They can't find money and start questioning her. She doesn't say much until she realises a 'friend' has mentioned the money and knows one of her attackers. She begins to fight back and kills one of them. She then locks the rest in the basement. So begins a cat and mouse game. We realise there's more than meets eye to the house and it's residents. A good thriller and a good twist. Good high quality acting and i really enjoyed this.

Didn`t hold my attention

I have over the years, watched lots of films., I gave this movie the benefit of the doubt.,
& whilst I`m happy I viewed it., it is a movie I wouldn`t keep as in my opinion was a `slow burner`
for half of the duration. Ive watched other films with a similar` break in` plot but were much more
interesting & imaginative. This dvd is popping along to the charity shop tomo.

Didnt like it

Didn't like it sorry it started quite good but then became stupid with a predictable and daft ending and the poor budgie getting killed was upsetting and unnecessary.

Interesting but could have gone further.

Interesting story that builds well but runs out of ideas at the end. A well crafted mis-direction at the beginning sets up for one kind of storyline, but then takes a twist in to quite a different one - although, the transition is not altogether believable. Still, entertaining and worth watching, but could have developed the motive for Anna more convincingly. The end is weak and has nothing original to offer. Good production levels and feel to the film, which helps to give the impression of a higher budget movie.

"That bitch sits in her mansion hording her cash. Well, boys, she'll get what she deserves, give me the knife and the hammer..".
That's all I'm saying but leave a light on when watching and lock your doors and windows at night. Spine-chillingly good...

Really nice quality movie

Really pleasantly surprised, an intelligent storyline, and not as predictable as movies in this genre usually are. Well acted and a nice balance of dark, stillness and action. I'd recommend it
