Another brilliant film by Pascal Laugier

This movie was as great, if not better, than his 2008 film, Martyrs. Casting and acting was incredible, with a monster twist near the end. What a wild ride, just like Martyrs. I was literally brought to tears in the last 30 minutes of this film, it was that horrifying. I cannot think of any horror/home invasion genre film I've seen that tops this. I know some didn't like it for various reasons, but I thought it was a masterpiece.

Uncomfortable but Rewarding to the Action/Thriller/Horror fan.

This film twists and turns due to excellent editing which makes it memorable. It is not as gory and difficult to watch as Martyrs but offers lingering camera shots to make you uncomfortable enough. I found it to be more of an Action/Thriller movie than Horror.

Loved it!

The director's debut feature, Martyrs, is one of my favourite films, so this had a lot to live up to. Sadly, I had read a review which gave away a HUGE spoiler in the first line, so the revelation halfway through was not such a surprise to me, but it still was a shock! Great film, great performances throughout, but one tiny plot hole could have scuppered the whole thing.

Good Horror but not for everyone

If you've seen French film marker Pascal Laugier highly controversial 2008 film Martyrs, then you will ever watch or avoid this film, though nowhere near a violent, there are some creepy scenes that will make you feel uncomfortable, however it is a genuinely scary film and well acted

I watched this film last night and I was engaged from the first til the last scene. I will watch it again this evening as its a great film and the acting of the cast was brilliant, best film I have found this year. Highly recommended..

Not impressed

This is a survival horror genre which is only for a very specific audience. I hated this movie and the twist was very dull. It could have been better and the violence was unsettling and stomach churning.

A disappointment.

I loved Martyrs so was excited to watch this. Super unconvincing dialogue and delivery by the supporting actors. I read other people say it’s good for a fix of empty gore but I would disagree. Pure garbage.

Incredible Film

This is a fantastic film in my opinion, the acting superb and the story is original and nothing I have seen before, thoroughly impressed with this film, it is quite draining in terms of it leaving you on the edge of your seat and the tension the situation brings, definitely watch, its a great film
