Mockingjay Part 2 (bonus version)

I ordered this version because it said bonus version which was not clear to me and the synopsis did not give enough information. I thought It was an extended version so I purchased it of £7.99 which was sickening because I could have watched this version for free; by the time I realized I had already watched the film and the bonus version referred to the making of the set, which did not interest me as I watched the series before and read the books because I view it as a fantasy. I know it's impossible to ask for my money back, therefore I would ask that synopsis are clearer so customers do not spend their money unnecessarily. (note to myself if unclear do not purchase)!

Fairly Decent Finale for the Hunger Games Series
Verified purchase
I've enjoyed the previous 3 films, despite not having read the books, and although part one of the final was a bit slow in places this final segment seems to pick up the pace again as focus shifts away from the games and instead on the two lead characters leading their united army of rebels from each of the districts in an uprising through the capital to overthrow the evil president ruler and his council.

There are still some game style traps etc along the way and a fair amount of action and as a non-reader of the books I enjoyed a few unexpected twists and turns - especially at the end!

If you've watched the previous three then you're going to watch this anyway, perhaps the level to which you feel this last film does justice to the series will be influenced most significantly depending on whether you've read the books before hand or not - but as a stand alone film series I think it delivers pretty decent closure, even if the focus does sometimes seem to gravitate to only Katniss a little too much.

Great conclusion.

Mockingjay part 2 wraps up the Hunger Games sequence of movies with a big The End at the finish line.

Just like part 1, this movie feels a bit slow in places - but when the action picks up it really gets moving.

The last 15-20 minutes gets slow again, but it does finish things off and conclude various character plotlines.

The acting is still great, and you can tell that the cast have gotten comfy in their roles and embraced the experience.

I watched this a day after watching part 1, i think in hindsight I wpuld have enjoyed it more if i'd watched it immediately after the credits rolled on part 1. (Allowing for a toilet break etc)

Nest watched immediately after part 1.

Excellent adaption of the book

Another great film of the book. Usually I feel the book is always better but I think these films were done extremely well. If you have a young 12 watching, some parts are scary and spoiler alert characters you care about die. The film deals with nuances very well. Some characters are angry and ambivalent at how they've been treated - this is handled well. I think it's best to watch all the movies in the Hunger Game series in order as key information about PanAm and various characters is given throughout that makes sense of the ending. Read the books too!

Very disappointing.

Oh dear, we had such high hopes for this film. The first was imaginative and gripping, and the second, although not as good as the first, was certainly exciting enough, even if the plot was getting a bit strained. That said we were left in suspense and couldn't wait to see how Snow got his come-uppance. As I've already said, the plot was getting a little strained on the second installment, but we'd hoped that the finale would bring everything back together. Truth be told though, the strain only worsened even to the point of threatening to unravel completely. Added to that, for a great deal of the film, I was actually bored! On the positive side, there were a few moments that were exciting enough to drag me to the edge of my seat, but they were too few and far between for my liking.
So to sum up, the film was over-long, over-thought, and tried too hard to be brooding and dark. Personally, I thought it only rated two stars, but my wife was adamant that it rated three, so three it got!

WE ALL KNOW IT'S A GREAT FILM! However, its even better with the bonus material.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 beautifully ties up the 4 film run with a conclusion that stays true to the story and remains realistic. The bonus material is great, there is an extensive "making of" film which is not well advertised by Amazon, but very enjoyable and does not skip too lightly, instead, exploring aspects of the film in detail. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

The finale to the series of the Hunger Games.

We were pleased to find this film available to watch but were disappointed that it was filmed so dark.
This made it difficult- virtually impossible to see what was actually happening in some parts.
