The Second Coming Came Early ...

Interesting indie film, with superb characterizations, is more like real life than most. Steeped in modern-age pathos and brutally violent by turns, you will have to be in the mood for this. Lessons are dealt by Hesher, the antichrist, to a bereaved family unit on the point of falling apart, where Dad unit is relying on pills and is really dead on his feet, and Son unit is lost in a world of remorse. Meanwhile, Hesher, who is on the verge of mayhem whatever his surroundings, deals the flaming cards and rips away the clouds of gloom to reveal that life is all about doing stuff. As Grandma unit once said, "It's a bit like walking in the rain. You can either take shelter and hide or you can just get wet." Highly recommended.

are the main ingredients here. Nicely acted but doesn`t know if it wants to be funny or depressing. No real message other than life can suck get over it.

Sometimes it takes a hell of an angel to be saved, sometimes an angel from hell, and sometimes both.
