You have to love Doris!

I can't praise this film enough! Sally Field is excellent as Doris - an older woman who has yet to really live her life... Until she meets co-worker John. Living half in her own head and half in the real world, she awkwardly navigates how she thinks she should react. Tyne Daly is also great as Doris' level-headed best friend

But enjoyable to watch and Sally Field as always good acting believable character

Being desirable especially when older is covered in this film. Not being invisible and the possibilities of being wanted by someone younger. For me a cop out ending. But enjoyable to watch and Sally Field as always good acting believable character.

I rented this film on Apple TV last night and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. It's quirky, heartwarming and funny. Sally Field is fantastic as Doris. It has that cult film feel to it (Romy & Michele caliber), one I could easily watch over and over again. It's just so nice. I even got a little emotional watching it as there were elements I could relate to (Doris and her love for her mother reminded me of my own mother and my nan who was called Doris)

Definitely worth watching. I've ordered a copy for my mum to watch.

Sally at her funny and quirky best.

Sally Field remains as funny as ever, great to see a film with an older actress that was just a bit different. Doris's wardrobe something else and really added to the film. If I wanted a lighter moment I would watch again.

Bitter sweet, sometimes difficult viewing (especially if you are of a certain vintage). All the cast were good, but the whole thing was taken up a notch by Sally Fields & Tyne Daly. Amazing, recommend

What can I say.........

I bought this film in anticipation of something really funny and uplifting. It was quite funny, but also quite sad and depressing. I wouldn't watch it again.

The epitome of lovely.

I was recommended this by a friend, and it was such a pleasing watch. It's heartfelt and hopeful, and was exactly what I needed. All the cast are wonderful, but Sally Field is just something else. Kooky and incredibly endearing, she was just a pleasure to watch. If you're in need of a pick-me-up, this is the movie for you.

Doris is so cool.

Omg, I love Doris, it's at times uncomfortable to watch, but Doris is just adorable. We all need a doris in our lives. Learning about a first crush when you are grown up is hard. I want to embrace life like Doris when I'm her age.
