Wonderful experience

What can I say. Though its been hard for me to accept anyone other than Sir Anthony Hopkins in the Hannibal Lecter role, Mads has just about nailed it. This and seasons 2 & 3 are fantastic, the characters, artwork and filming are second to none. So, I would certainly recommend, but know its not for everyone, especially those of a sensitive disposition.

This is a very very good first series, for those of us who are into psychological thrillers. Really had to sit and concentrate to understand and keep up with what was happening which only added to the excitement and enjoyment of this new series. Glad I watched it without the add breaks on my Kindle as the adds would have been a great interruption that I could not have tolerated. I am already looking forward to a night to myself to watch the second season.

Gory , gruesome and great.

Excellent series. Only started watching series 1 this last week, so have 2 more to go. it's gruesome and gory and fantastically acted. Better than the movies. I love everything Mads Mikkelson does and all the other actors are an added bonus. The only problem is, it is completely addictive, so I have to have real self control not to watch all the series in one go!

Horror that is actually horrific to watch; far more to this than gore and cheap frights.

Horror done right; its not about people jumping out from behind dark corners or girls screaming....its just horrific, an uncomfortable feeling watching at all times. Only down side is that Hannibal is so evil its hard to believe the dialogue when people say what a nice guy he is, I mean just look at the man he clearly slaughtered and ate people when researching the role.

Just watched episode 1. Not sure about Hannibal's accent (Anthony Hopkins he is NOT!), but generally impressed. Hope the quality is maintained.
