Dire for me!

I ordered these two ghastly movies at the request of my grandson who with his uncle watched them both, killing themselves with laughter whilst I took myself off to bed as they were so dreadful!!! It must be an age thing - at 77 I couldn't crack a smile so I was a proper party poopa!!!!

Sandler and his mates have a day out

Grown Ups sees Adam Sandler get a load of his mates together to create a comedy film where it is obvious that hey had a great time putting it all together.

The basis for the film is that the group of friends gather together after their high school basketball coach passes away in order for them to say their goodbyes which they manage to do but as talk centres around the good old days and the guys watch their children struggle to have fun on a get away the grown ups begin to show their love of their childhood and the film becomes a bonding experience for all involved.

This is a film I actually enjoyed and it doesn't try to be high brow or anything other than what it is which I appreciate and for me the film works thanks to the fact it is low brow comedy.

Adam Sandler made a film with his buddies.

A film by Adam Sandler starring Adam Sandler and his buddies who all won a basketball game and their adults they go a family and and beat find out that there better people that kinda plotline, some of the jokes I found and others I found distasteful such as the scene where the wifes are flirting with this super hot and he comes and just makes fun of squeaky voice but not admire his rocking abs, and the other where there's kinda inapproate boob touching there's a few others. 2 out 5

WARNING - Your time is too valuable to waste on this movie

I was driven to write a review as the rating of 4.5 starts IS A LIE, and I hope my review will be one step closer to bringing down the average to where it should be (the lowest rating possible).

Don't waste your time and skip over this movie. It was so UNfunny it actually depressed me, and I had to turn it off to cheer myself back up. IGNORE THIS WARNING AT YOUR OWN PERIL.

Sooo funny. Great film with a collection of very funny actors. Love the message of not leaving behind where you come from, how friends from childhood are friends for life and being young at heart. Also great message about how to live a happy life, families and run away when somebody shouts, "Archery roulette!". It is not just a film about messages though it is very, very funny. Whole family enjoyed this, but remember it is a certificate 12.
