Absolutely awful

Nihilistic, gruesome and pointless. The evil that has gone in to making this is truly disturbing.

The film is meant to de-sensitise you to gruesome dehumanising of characters and present an utterly miserable outcome. Don't watch - Director and team deserve to be imprisoned.

A wet performance in a dry desert.

If you like dust, flys and slobber you'll love this film. Otherwise it probably isn't for you. Zac Effon's eyes are constantly glazed over and dripping wet while nothing much happens. But boy do they get across the dusty aspect of the desert. I'd give the desert's performance 5 stars, the script not so much. I enjoyed the bit where the dogs ate the main character, and the arrow at the end was a nice touch.

Why?

If you've got 90 odd minutes of your life to waste, this is the movie for you! But before you do, remember it's time you won't get back. Go outside and watch the clouds, look at the grass, watch ants. Anything but this. What on the planet any of the cast, there are a total of 6 of them, (one was a baby, so probably relied on an adult to take responsibility, but I imagine will have learned a valuable life lesson and not do that again!), thought when they got the script that persuaded them to get involved. Pointless, lack of purpose and total cack is the best I can manage about this.

Ok, nothing oscarworthy, decent acting, watchable, weak ending.

The story started off ok but went downhill fast. Acting ok and really shows the perils of no water and food in outback but the biggest problem was the storyline. Not clear at all.....contains spoilers so who was that woman he saw?? Was she real and if he killed her why did she come back or did she really have a twin sister?? I mean er?? The arrow who did that?? Abit stupid story which made no sense but if you like survival dramas about the weather in outback its ok. The scenery and the expanse of outback was far more interesting. Not great but watchable.

Don't waste your precious time on this unless you like dust and misery

Very disappointing. Grim. Depressing. Tedious. Miserable. I can't fault the acting and I get the message on the perils of greed but oh my goodness I wish I hadn't persevered till the end hoping it would get better. Not even Zac Efron can make this worth the watch. Unless you like dust, dust and more dust mixed with a huge dollop of misery, then maybe give this one a miss.
