Good story and excellent acting!

I don't know rap much and didn't know anythying about the singer/lead actor. But really enjoyed the movie - the story and the acting. The lead actors, espaeically 50 cents and Joy Bryant (excellent acting!) have wonderful chemistry. 50 cents' understated acting reminded me of the great Marlon Brando. Would like to see Joy Bryant in some other movie. dewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje plays a truly badass villain. Must see for film lovers who enjoy a good story and good acting! Not your typical Hollywood movie, so not for everyone. Maybe rap lovers will like the movie for the music as well, which fits the movie.

Excellent film about a drug dealer turned "Rapper"

This movie is the story of Curtis "50 Cent* Jackson and his rise to the top of both the drug & rap game.
A few parts (Not a lot) have been changed because some of the violence shown and murders shown.
Try and remember that most of these cases are still "Open" and any new knowledge could cause terrible repercussions for those involved.
All in all ... 4.7 outta 5.
That's just a personal score based on many things.
The bottom line .... Thoroughly enjoyable movie ...!

I remember 50 Cent saying that this movie is 75% true, I find that hard to believe and that the truth is most likely 90% fiction and 10% fact. A lot of things in this movie did happen in his life but you can clearly tell a lot of it did not and is simply there for entertainment purposes. Anyway this movie is very entertaining all the way through and I would recommend to anybody that is a fan of this genre. 8/10
