The beauty of film is that sometimes you stumble accross a great film that you have never heard of, and you leave it wondering why you have never heard of it. I have read the other reviews and I have to say that I didn't leave this film with anything other than a sense of appreciation for a brilliant film. Depressing? Well, the subject matter itself is what it is. This film is never going to be a barrel of laughs. Not only is this a very topical issue, but the film is about humanity...about the human wreckage left behind after a traumatic event, and how each othe characters copes (or doesn't cope). The characters are raw and the actors are committed to their portrayals of the different characters. If you are fan of well made cinema with a focus on real human emotion, buy this film. You will probably be left like me wondering why this film did not receive higher accolades. I would hazard a guess it's because the subject matter is just too close to the bone in America.

This Movie is fantastic if you do not want the run of the mill movies from Hollywood or Bollywood - Western, Thriller, Politics then this is tense, fresh ideas, I do not recall any movie that deals with the experience of a faceless person and a coffee shop aftermath dynamics of fascinating characters.

Such a new script, there are to be a few more - Prison officers must watch it, even prisoners must watch it I feel it is useful

to see what Death and murder do - I learned to add to my skills dealing with psychology ....and what shatters us in all situations - Must watch Movie by some of us -

Not for everyone- might be distressing for some-- It will touch many cords -- and that might mean some hate the movie and do not give what it deserves- 5 star

In this 2008 drama [aka: Winged Creatures] five characters try to come to terms with ’life’ after surviving an horrific random mass shooting at roadside diner.
Taking less than five minutes to get to the point, this drama ambles along and focuses on the aftermath of the event and how various individuals and organisations handle it, from the hospital staff, investigators, psychologists and even school friends but above all it’s about the ‘survivors’ who ‘were there’ and the way they perceive it all and are affected by it. The major characters are multifaceted and we learn a lot about each of them as the film progresses, which all explains their differing reactions.
The single disc opens to 2 trailers before offering play, scene selection and trailer. Rated 15, this does have some limited violence and disturbing tense scenes, uses the F word and a number of cuss words while the few sexual scenes feature adult themes and some limited nudity.
This is not original, having elements of movies as diverse as ‘The outrage’ [1964] and ‘Crash’ [2004] but if you liked those type movies then this might entertain. A good twist is that your view of the characters changes as you learn more about them but while I found no major flaws, it probably will miss out on the top marks if you like to chat while watching.
