Complete and utter rubbish!

This is modern edgy female comedy. All sex, bad language, and crude. How anyone can think this is clever and funny is completely beyond me. I despair that we have now fallen to this low level of entertainment. Quite appallingly bad, doesn’t deserve one star.

Perfect TV

This has to be one of the best programmes in recent years. The acting is perfect, and it's really funny but also very dark - as the episodes progress it becomes more and more tragic. Olivia Colman is brilliant as the vile-but-pretends-to-be-nice Stepmother. I can't wait for series 2.

Laugh out loud and surprisingly moving

I didn't know much about this going in - but at first it felt like a great stand up comics routine tacked on to a perfunctory family drama. How wrong I was. What was clear by the end was the commitment to the story and the character development - some of the best writing I think I've ever seen. Laugh out loud and surprisingly moving. I can't wait for a second series.

Incredible humor! Very dark, but incredibly insightful. Deftly avoids tired, lazy cliches in comedy.

The light hearted scenes are often offset by really dramatic emotionally charged segments that take you a bit by surprise.

The show absolutely escapes genre and shines best when it takes sharps shifts in tone. Extremely excited for season 2!

Excellent. I could watch this woman reading the phone book in a phone booth. Now there's a script! Such a captivating actress.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge is a genius

Incredible, heartbreaking, true-to-life hilarious genius. Kind of like the UK version of 'Girls' but far darker. We really need more from Phoebe Waller-Bridge, please please please!
