From the manufacturer
1. Measure chest circumference:
Run the tape measure around the chest - at the widest point, just below the armpits. Make sure that the tape measure does not cut in.
2. Measure waist circumference
Run the tape measure around the waist - at the narrowest point, just above the belly button.
3. Measure hip circumference
Run the tape measure around the hips - at the widest part of the hips and buttocks. Make sure that the tape measure on its back does not hang down or stand out.
4. Measure arm length
Bend the arm slightly and measure from the middle of the neck to the shoulder tip to the elbow and to the lower wrist.
Notes: You should only wear thin clothing when measuring in order to avoid distorting the values. If you do not have a tape measure at hand, you can use a thread and measure its marked length with the ruler. Take a well-fitting shirt and place it on a flat surface to measure the arm length.
Tip: If you are between two sizes, order the smaller size for a tighter fit or the larger size for a further fit.

First off this isn't waterproof, it shrugs off a light shower, but if it all day out drys quickly and is really breathable.
If you want a waterproof look elsewhere.
I'd rather have a comfortable and highly breathable jacket that will last, and look good. If I'm going mountaineering Is choose a different coat.
But for everyday outdoors, be that shopping, taking the dog out our walking in the countryside you'd struggle to get a more comfy and breathable jacket. Owe and it looked good in a pub!
