How do I purchase this service?
- Go to the product page of the Wallbox EV charger (7 kW/7.4 kW) you wish to install
- Select ‘With Installation’ below the item description
- Click ‘Add to Cart’
- Select an appointment date for your pre-installation visit from the available slots
- When the pre-installation visit is complete, the technician will then book the final installation date with you via your “Your Orders” space in Your Account. The installation will happen within 7 days after the pre-installation visit
Am I eligible for this service?
You are eligible for this installation service if you have an off-street parking space with a single phase fusebox. Please ensure that there is a detectable wifi signal where you wish to install the charger and that your charger would be located within a 10m range from your fusebox. For the time being we only offer this service for Wallbox EV chargers (7 kW/7.4 kW). You are not eligible for this service if you live in an apartment and if your installation requires working over 1.8m, trenching, running cables under flooring without draw cords. Technicians are unable to work in crawl spaces, extreme weather, and cannot take responsibility for reinstating external and internal floors.
How can I pay for this service? Is this service eligible for the OZEV (Office for Zero Emission Vehicles) grant?
You can purchase your EV charger with installation service at Checkout using the payment method of your choice. Please note that payment by instalments is not available for this service yet. OZEV grants are managed entirely by the service provider completing the installation, not Amazon. The technician will check if you qualify for the OZEV grant. If you are eligible, the technician will then apply for the grant on your behalf. The service provider will manage your grant application through to payment and keep you updated. What happens after I place my order?
You will receive an appointment confirmation email which will outline the next steps. The appointment date you select at checkout is for the pre-installation visit, which is carried out by a qualified technician to understand the installation requirements for your home. During this first visit, the technician will schedule a second appointment with you for the installation of the charger. The second appointment date will be visible in the “Your Orders” section of your Amazon account.
What if I want to reschedule or cancel my pre-installation appointment?
You can reschedule or cancel your pre-installation appointment by navigating to Your Orders within your Amazon account at any time. You’ll receive confirmations of these changes by email. In the event that you want to cancel the service less than 24 hours prior to your appointment, you’ll need to contact Amazon Customer Service or Amazon’s service provider via Seller Messaging for assistance. Please review our Cancellation Policy for more details.
What if there is a problem with the charger or the installation?
If you believe your charger is dysfunctional or your installation was not carried out properly, you can contact Amazon Customer Service for assistance and next steps.
Will I have to pay any additional charges?
No, Amazon will not charge you any additional costs.
