I actually made a mistake regarding the size I thought I had ordered, which I thought was a 33 waist and 32 leg measurement. Had I been more observant , I would have realised my mistake. I thought I would try them on, fully expecting them to be tight on my waist. My observations as to why they fit me comes in three parts.
1) They are straight leg fit as opposed to skiny fit.
2) They manufactured with 98% organic cotton. In my experience, organic cotton is very forgiving for sizing.
3) There is a 2% addition of elastane. Again this is forgiving when it comes to sizing because of its elasticity properties. Elastane is
a generic name. You may therefore be more familiar with the names of, Spandex or Lycra. If you are concerned about elastane being a synthetic compound, I would strongly advise you to go online and carry out some research. My reason for suggesting that is that the bulk of production of the generic name of "elastane " ,is China. Need i say more?
After my initial shock with my mistake, these chinos are pretty good. They may not be for everyone as the material is quite heavy. As for the material composition, it is 98% organic cotton and 2% elastane.
