This 9v double battery pack arrived sealed in the original Duracell packaging (Note: If the product photos are showing you batteries in the packaging, then that is what you should get. If you ever receive loose batteries (like I have in the past) - send them back! Without the packaging, you have no guarantee if they are new, used or partially used batteries).

Purchased these in Feb. 2020
As shown, these are almost a year old (produced in March 2019), but they still have 4 years shelf life (expire in March 2024).

Most top brand batteries have a 5 year shelf life from time of manufacture. Its quite normal for batteries to be purchased with 1 or even 2 years already past the production date, but be aware of buying new batteries with only 2 years or less left before expiry date. Unused batteries do deplete over time, so buying a 'new' battery with only 1 year left before expiry date, is never going to be at its original capacity from when it was first manufactured (often far less than 50% original power).

Delivered to me July 2021. I used them as backup batteries in smoke alarms. The batteries ran out September 2021, even though the batteries are stamped with the expiry date of 09/25. Marked “Made in China”. Save your money, don’t buy these.

Purchased on 15th July 2019 for £3.99

I recently purchased a stud finder and needed a 9V battery for it.

At £3.99 for two 9V Duracell batteries you can’t go wrong. I always go Duracell as they never let me down.

These batteries won’t last as long as the Duracell Ultra one’s so if you want a bit more juice go for those but be prepared to pay extra.

The batteries were okay to open as there was a perforated cut out on the back but I think a perforated cut out for each battery would have been better as it would have left the other sealed.

You get what you pay for when it comes to batteries I now realise, for years I would use batteries from pound shops or used some of the other supposedly 'Brand Name' batteries who I think just sell their name and let it be put on a poor product. It's false economy really.

But I recently bought a TENS machine to help with pain (i'd recommend trying one by the way) and the Varta battery that came with it only lasted a few hours, so I bought the Panasonic batteries and again, only lasted a few hours.

Ended up getting the Duracell ones on Amazon (which at the time was the same price as the rest actually) and it's on its 4th day and still going strong so I'll be sticking to using them from now on.

Bought these to replace the Duracell batteries in our smoke detectors which had expired after seven years. Duracell batteries may cost a little more than some other batteries, but why would anyone skimp on something as life-critical as this?

Well, I'm stumped as I just wrote a review for this and it disappeared.

However, I'll say it again! I use this brand wherever I can, and these are in use in my metal detectors where they have a great, long life. They run and run, and I like them very much. Yes, they can be costly but they make up for this in longevity

Woke up one morning and every now and again the smoke alarm was chirping to say battery needs replacing, wife couldn’t stand it and I didn’t want to take battery out and chance it so ordered these, one to use immediately and one for back up, can’t complain came same day! And as always with Duracell an incredible battery, and at an incredible price for not just one but two batteries!

I ordered three sheets. I received only two. The two sheets I received are good quality and worth the cost. I have not even now, had any explanation of how and why this has not been put right. I have paid for all three items. I may have to go to the small claims court for redress. This the first time I have had any trouble with Amazon despite many many purchases.

I use these in 3 PIR wireless sensors, they normally last 1 to 1 1/2 years, however these have each lasted about 4 weeks each. "Made in China' and marked with expiry 2025. Draw your own conclusions!
