I'm a Brit and I loved it. Was that because it had Kevin Costner in it? Probably.

I'm a big fan of KC and enjoy all of his movies, so maybe I am biased. But even as a Brit who found it hard to follow the whole logic of what was happening - I thought Seattle were selling Bo to Cleveland, but . . . then eventually the penny dropped - at the very end! Nonetheless it was compelling and KC was on form.

Draft Day Draft Player

An interesting behind the scenes of NFL draft day, which got exciting to the end as you realised, now how the system works.
I liked the way it was filmed with the interplay of two scenes together walking into one.
Cosner and Chadwick Boseman stood out.

Good film.

I don’t like American football. I don’t have a great understanding of the draft. However, this is a good film with plenty of drama and suspense whether you like American football or not. Probably better if you do though! This is a film full of pace. It is never boring. It is convincing. The acting is top class. Good film.

Can't see how this gets so high rating on amazon and I.M.B very boring can't even see why people who like american football would watch it as just story about draft day as they call it when they look for new players could have been anyone in part is it just because kevin cotsner is in it watch the EXPRESS instead at least you see games in it and lot better story.

Great storyline, choice of language not complete

Great storyline, but when selecting English as the language to play the film German still remains onscreen for home playing ground information.
Formatting language change is poor. Luckily my level of German was good enough.

Kevin Costner should be a General Manager!!

Possibly one of the best movies i have seen in a long time. Had 48 hours to watch it and i'm now on my 4th watch. Kevin Costner and Jennifer Garner are brilliant. Not to mention some good acting from Texans RB Arian Foster. Also enjoyed the cameos from NFL stars, including Ray Lewis (funny scene, such a hero). I loved this movie beacuse it gave me some idea of what franchises go through on the day of the NFL Draft. This film has everything; it crosses an "edge of the seat" plot, with some comedy. It's realistic, every time i watch it i have it in my head that "the Browns are going to be great next season!!" Not to mention a fantastic ending. An ending i wanted throughout the film. Every time the first pick is announced i get goosebumps and grin from ear to ear. Not going to spoil it though ;) bottom line: great acting, great story, fantastic idea for a movie, nail biting but hilarious. This film actually makes the Browns look good (and no im not convinced that Cleveland are actually for real this season...i'm a Ravens fan for crying out loud!!). I would say this film deserves an Oscar... But it doesn't... It deserves a god damn Super Bowl!!

Solid stuff for NFL nerds.

It sometimes gets too glib and glammed up but for the most part Reitman's restrained direction works well in a look at the business side of the NFL. The characters are not strong enough or presented as professional enough for the actors to really get their teeth in - Denis Leary's part is especially underwritten - and a viewing of Margin Call would have seriously helped the writing. But it's certainly enjoyable and well-paced. The inter-GM phonecalls are the highlight reel.
