Better that you think

This movie was crushed in its released - very few went to the cinema in its very short commercial run. Yet it is much better that one could think, or that the initial reviews said.
It tells the brief affair between Princess Diana and Dr Khan, a lesser known and quite short frustrated story of Lady Di in the days after she was divorced and before she started dating Dodi Al Fayed. Naomi Watts does her usual impecable work, more than saving the function.
The movie is not a life changing experience, nor tells anything final on the tragic days of the tragig Princess, yet it is an enjoable picture, much worth seeing.

well - it was nice to watch but there are a number of actresses who look far more like Diana than this one and i found this lady's performance as Diana somewhat disturbing and even irritating at times.
i cannot say that i knew Diana but I did work with her for a time before she was married and I was a bit disappointed.
I also felt that it could have been a little more believable that in some parts it was over dramatised and unreal and others underdone.
Also we are all aware that a Princess might have just a tadd more wealth than a commoner might have but really, this guy is a consultant and a well known a good one, he would not have lived in such a shoddy apartment regardless of his origins being from a third world country! I could go on but really i must only say that the film The Queen with Helen Mirren was far more authentic and even the characters were just a vague likeness, they were so well researched that they were more believable. Sorry but spoilt my memory of a dear 'more than acquaintance but not as much as a friend' lady.

Pointless and poorly presented.

This is a film that should never have been made based on a book that should never have been written. Intrusive and offensive. News footage shows the hounding of this woman. The love scenes are fictional. The whole thing is degrading and shameful.

Interesting alternative version of Lady Diana

I quite enjoyed this film. It concerned a part of her life that hasn't really been focused on before. However, unless the writers had reliable sources of information that I have never heard discussed before, I think they took some diabolical liberties with Diana's character. It portrays her as deliberately setting up controversial photo opportunities and puts a slant on her relationship with Dodi Fayed which portrays it as merely a fraudulent smokescreen rather than the genuine loving relationship which played out in the media at the time. Pretty controversial film really. I'm surprised there hasn't been a bit of an uproar about it in the media. Maybe there was one and I missed it! ☺️

Decent acting and a good movie

This film divides opinion but I thought it was a good, insightful watch. As much as Diana was a victim of the media, she knew how to play it for her own ends too. The romance between her and the heart surgeon was convincing too. Worth a look.
