They are Danner boots!!! I have been wearing Danners for 22 years almost everyday for military and police work, and they are the most comfortable, waterproof, and long lasting boots made!!! This is the first time I have ordered 6" boots, always worn 8" and it took about 2 days to get use to the lower cut and now Love them.. If you want the best boot made order a pair of Danner, worth the money and will last 4x longer then a cheap pair so you win in the end..

This boot does run small. I had to return the first pair and order a 1/2 size larger. A little stiff at first but works out after a few wears. I love the side zip but still have to tie/untie to get on and off. Zipper does make it a lot easier on and off - would have to really struggle to get my big feet in and out. Very quiet when walking - no squeaks or footstep sounds. Waterproof functionality adds confidence when walking around snow melt and puddles - no worries there.

All in all a great boot. Amazon discount and shipping/returns made the purchase cost effective and easy. Couldn't find it cheaper anywhere.

They are very hard to get spit shined. I normally spend about an hour getting a new pair of boots up to a perfect shine but these took about three times that amount. Once shined, they didn't hold it for too long. The tread has lasted longer than normal and I have lots of grip on all of the terrains that I have to go over. The boots have a convenient zipper that is pretty sturdy. They are a bit warm for a CA summer.

Great boot. Very comfortable. However, the description is a little deceptive. The 6in side zip is a 6in zipper but a 8in high boot. I have bought Danner boots in the past with a 6in zip and they were 6in high boots. Other than that, they are great boots and I would highly recommend them.

I was told before buying them to go up a half size because they run small. But even goin up a size they are pretty tight. I have only been wearin them a few weeks but really like them so far. Very comfortable one you get them broke in. Don't know how the longevity is going to be as I haven't had them long, but I do have a little concern with the zipper. The handle on the zipper feels like it might pull off every time you zip them. But as of now I would certainly buy them again.

Quality boots are going to need a little break in time.

Even with side zippers, these are tough to put on without pushing the tongue into the toe box. Toe box is pretty snug, I suspect they will break in and be just fine.
