Have no idea what other reviewers are watching
I blew my load when i found out shudder were making a Creepshow Tv show.
Personaly im pleased that people seem to like it but for me it lacks on so many levels. The gore FX are good (old school) and i like the sections that blend into a comic but thats all there is for me. The stories well most of them are kinda bland or just dont make much sense (like most stuff mainstream today) even the creep ( main character) is awfull and looks nothing like the original. To me this could have been amazing lets hope season 2 will be much much better.

Some episodes are good, some are absolute garbage
So, I'm a big fan of the 80's Creepshow(s) like most people are who tried to watch this. I was so excited when I heard they were making more Creepshow, but after watching it, (well almost all of it) - I was really disappointed. Don't get me wrong, some of the episodes are pretty good, but some of them are absolute garbage, similar to most of the trash that's on TV nowadays. Some episodes I thought, ok this does have a Creepshow vibe, but about 50% of them in my opinion were just terrible (to be called Creepshow) - Some episodes don't make sense and are very predictable, and some episodes are pretty good. There has been a couple episodes where I've skipped to the end or just given up, because it's trash. It's such a shame because I was expecting so much more (that may be my fault too though as most things past the year 2000/2010 mark are garbage in my opinion)

There are some scenes where you think, "okay this is getting good now, can't wait to see what happens next!" (I think some viewers who've seen this reading my review know which parts I mean) - Then it's like, "oh, the episodes over...well...that's a shame, it was just getting good".

In a way, although this may contradict my review, I do hope they make a second series just to see if they've improved and/or listened to viewers comments. I understand they probably worked their backsides off producing it, but for me, there wasn't really any "Creepshow Vibe" present in many of it. I'll sum it up briefly with pro's and con's:

Pro's:
Presents a Creepshow Vibe (but not much)
Effects/Gore looks very good
Shows some unique story lines
Music and intro is good
Good acting

Con's:
Some story lines get boring very quickly
Can be quite predictable (this isn't always a bad thing though)
Creepshow vibe wears off quite quickly
Some episodes present an anti-climax.

I admit there are more pro's than con's, but I have given it 3* because it's OK - It isn't ALL TRASH and it isn't ALL AMAZING - it is OK - in my opinion.

I can neither take it or leave it - Wouldn't watch it again on my own, but if someone asked to watch it, I'd happily sit through it.

True to the original, some good creepy stories with some cheesy laughs too
If you are a fan of the original 80s Creepshow, then you should enjoy this.

Each episode contains two stories by different writers, which are a mix of silly, creepy, scary and funny, so even if one or two aren't your cup of tea, there should be some you will like. I though the second story of the first episode, about a dolls house really quite creepy!

It is a bit silly and a bit cheesy, but this is in keeping with the original. For me, a great watch, perfect for binging on of a dark night.

Hopeful for a 2nd season.
I do enjoy a good horror anthology, I think horror really lends itself to this type of structure. I have watched the oringinal creepshow and the movies, and I really enjoyed this reboot. My favourite story was "Head in the House" - No blood or gore, just the power of suggestion and tension. And its the only one of stories that scared the hell out of me. I didn't find the others so scary but still enjoyed them, one of the stories does remind of one of the sections from the 1st Creepshow movie.

Episode 1
Very effective, especially the second story which features a very creepy doll's house. It's hard to establish dread and get a satisfying payoff in 20 minutes but, based on the first episode (which was the only one released when I wrote this), the new Creepshow has some potential.

Episode 1: A Good Start.

Perfectly timed for Halloween...
Really like this. Of course it's a bit hit and miss, by the nature of anthology show's with a lot of different creatives it won't always hit the (ie your) mark and the budget restraints do sometimes show, but I do wonder what on earth would satisfy some people... The variety and talent involved will keep me coming back, and if this story don't grab you, give the next one a whirl!

Perfect!
I really enjoyed this new series, I joined Shudder especially to watch this and it didn't disappoint, I loved all of the stories, the acting is good, direction and camerawork is great and just the whole aesthetic is perfect. Hopefully this gets a second series!

Not like the originals
It's just not good enough. The original creepshow movies are awesome. I just wish this didn't take on the creepshow brand as really they're just low budget, poorly written, made for TV junk.
