Cosmic Sin.

Certificate: 15.

Running Time: 88 Tortous Minutes.

Plot Synopsis.
In the year 2524, four centuries after humans started colonizing the outer planets, retired Gen. James Ford is called back into service after a hostile alien fleet attacks soldiers on a remote planet. The threat against mankind soon escalates into an interstellar war as Ford along with a team of elite soldiers try to stop the imminent attack before it's too late.

Timelord Thoughts.
I've seen a lot of bad movies over the years but Cosmic Sin is hands down in my top 10 worst movies of all time list, this is a cheaply produced lazy directed film which sees Bruce Willis star's in another "give me the pay cheque" movie who gives yet another one note monotone performance, this time playing the role of General James Ford who years ago unleashed a Q bomb killing millions & was disembarked, however Willis is sleepwalking through his performance & simply speaks his lines instead of acting them & conveys no emotional depth to the character, put simply Willis doesn't want to be here & it shows in his lazy bored performance.

Why Frank Grillo decided to appear in this movie is beyond me because he is deserving of better roles, strangely it is Grillo who gets top billing over Willis here but he's barely in the movie & his character could easily been omitted from the film & it wouldn't have changed the overall storyline one bit.

Edward Drakes direction (who also Co-wrote) fails to builds any type of tension or drama between the characters so when they start being killed off i simply didnt care, the lacklustre action scenes are badly edited & lack any type of spectacle while the CGI looks like something from a 90's video game.

In more capable hands & with a bigger budget Cosmic Sin could have been a entertaining B' movie but instead this is a boring lazy emotionless sci-fi flick that i couldnt recommend to the most die-hard Willis fans, if you want a decent Willis sci-fi actioner check out The Fifth Element instead & avoid Cosmic Sin at all costs.

1 Star is just being nice!
Normally it should be Zero Stars for this movie, If you can even call it that! Worst piece of sh....I've seen in a long time, as in ever! I don't know, how this crap got the green light being produced!
It seems nobody in Hollywood cares anymore about their audience. We are all Cash cows, who get suckered into buying this garbage, using Bruce Willis and Frank Grillo as bait!
Thank you for your Service (buying the DVD)....now off you go!
I thought after watching Frank Grillo in some pretty good efforts like "Purge Election Year", "Wheelman", "Beyond Skyline" or the Superior "Boss Level" and Bruce Willis as a Worldwide Household Name.... what could go wrong with the Flick? Everything! From bad directing, bad sfx, bad dialogues to baddest acting....it's a long list of badness!
These guys are willingly doing anything for a Cheque! They should be ashamed for stealing every Film Fan's time and money!
Covid 19 Lockdown is hard for everyone and I guess Mr. Willis and Mr. Grillo were happy to get out for a few days shooting something related to film or so...doesn't matter, just to be away from home.
Or these movie dudes have some serious debts or expensive habits....
Anyway, whoever reads this and is willing to purchase (as I did) this trash !
Avoid at all costs! You will thank me one day!

I wasn't exactly expecting an Oscar winner but this is a truly terrible film. So terrible, in fact, that I got about a quarter of the way through it and turned it off. I was embarrassed to continue watching it despite the fact that I'm home alone. This is how bad this movie is. Everything aside from the first 5 minutes, i.e. the opening credits, is utter, utter gorgonzola.

Don't get me wrong, some B movies still have a certain measure of charm and are worth a watch. This is not one of those. Don't make the same mistake that I did and assume that, just because old Bruce Willis is in it, it's worth a punt. It's not.

I feel quite sad that I paid good money to buy this. If, in an alternate universe, Amazon was to pay me money to watch this movie, I'd still have to decline.

Go and spend your money elsewhere. Seriously. I'd rather watch "Glee" or something.

Alot Better Than You Think

Yet again I'm glad I didn't get put off by all the poor reviews. I mean granted Bruce Willis didn't seem particularly interested in bringing his A game to this, but everything else from costume to SFXs to plot was really good. I could round off an endless list of movies that were made made by premium studios with much more money to burn that turned out alot worse than this.

£9.99 I will never get back.

I wish I'd bothered to read the reviews first! Bruce at his worse in a Transformers type suit. Some of the aliens looked like futurama's Zoidberg in Assassins Creed fancy dress.

At one point Bruce crashes onto a planet and ends up in cave with an Alien moments later and then suddenly he's free again. It's all kind of a confused blur!

This is the kind of thing actors make before they are famous and then later on get to say "I was young and needed the money".
I should have waited until it was 99 pence in a sale.

Awful film

Awful film. Bad CGI. Bad action. Subpar acting. Your typical straight to DVD/Blu-ray/VOD fest featuring the back of Bruce Willis's stand in's head. I only purchased it because I'm a fan of Frank Grillo, but sadly his role is even smaller than Willis which I didn't expect considering he has top billing. I highly recommend Beyond Skyline and Skylin3s if you're looking for fun sci-fi films with good special effects.

Underrated in my opinion, i enjoyed this.

Personally i think a lot of the reviews gave for this movie on here are overly harsh. Personally i really enjoyed it myself, i saw it a while back, and enjoyed it enough to buy thje 4K version. While i's not a tripple A movie, it is way more polished than your average straight to retail movie also.

While this doesn't match his best movies (which is a high benmch mark anyway), if you like Brice Willis you'll probably like him in this, i'm a big Bruce Willis fan and i did anyway.

A couple of things to note about the 4K version, the one i got anyway, is that the text on the packaging is in German, as is the text in the disk menu's, but they are easy to understand and easy to get the film playing, and you can select English language version in the menu (which is the language the movie was originally recorded and made in) though you might have to turn off the subtitles, which were in German when i played it, using the disk player subtitle options durning the movie (i had to, but it was only a one-button press on my remote control) and the film plays fine in English, and the on screen text is in English as well when there is some, so no worries there.
